I give it a B+ pick from what I seen so far, but we will see how he performs with our new D scheme.
I watched videos of maluaga and orakpo and believe that Ayers is a better pick. In the highlight reels maluaga tried to go for big hits constantly whereas ayers wrapped on every tackle, or attempted to when he missed. He also played position very well. Orakpo I think is going to be caught on steroids soon. He is too interested in the weight training but I believe the muscles have outgrown the support of tendons and such, he will be hurt soon.

anyone that thinks he'll go in the first round is nuts, he's not a top ten talent. he should fall to the bucs at 19. The bucs are reinventing themselves with youth and are intrigued by the idea of having another DE opposite gaines adams.. If not the bucs then he shouldnt fall past 20 to the lions. (they got the 20th pick from dallas). and he wont go to the bills, they have the 11th pick and there are at least 4 other DE's better than ayers.

Would love to see this guy on the Pats. He's exactly what we need and the type of player that Belichick loves to draft: an undervalued, sturdy, instinctive 3 down 3-4 OLB who can set the edge vs the run and rush the passer on 3rd down. And he played on the same unit as Mayo who will no doubt put in a good word, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets drafted early. Those two could be the Bruschi and Vrabel of the next 10 years. I'm already excited and getting ahead of myself...
