its just like tekken 6, when your life is low your attack boost and so did his and he then turn on Baroque which then boost it even higher to like 50% more. of course its going to do ridiculous damage.

He used barroque to cancel his overhead punch which give him the chance for a larger combo, also barroque consumes the red bar of his health bar, the greater the red bar the bigger the damage of the combos while in barroque state(rainbow shinning like), a fair price imo.

And he used it in the best moment possible since you can't regain that red life when you dont have another character to tag, well.. its time to abuse the barroque!

That was really clutch imo broken or not, the game is great

if you activate baroque (which you can cancel off of a lot of normals and specials), you deal increased damage depending on how much "red health" (=recently drained health) you have accumulated. this is more or less a combination of guilty gear's roman cancel with a comeback feature.

He could not have Mega Crushed. He only had 1+ super meter, and you could tell he was trying to build it from the super jump hurricane kicks.

He definitely knew he needed the MC cause of the red meter on the blue Ryu, though I guess it's true he could've tried a Shinkuu Hadoken for chip damage instead.

Super management is just ridiculously important in this game. Get trapped without levels, and well, you saw what happened.

It's not really that broken, Mega Crash reduces the damage potential of Baroque significantly. You just have to make sure you hold 2 levels if the opponent has high red life (this still puts you at a disadvantage, the opponent can pressure more).

Kubo basically gave up the match at 1:25, when Karas Mega Crashed against Ryu's Mega Crash (I assume this was an accident). The lack of those two levels later proved fatal.

Mega crash is hard to be accidental cause you gotta press all buttons to do it. I was thinking he mega crash to cancel the mega crash knock down from Ryu and continue his combo after that, but failed trying so
