Big style difference. I agree with what you are saying but i think it's more to it than that. If either Masato (my favourite fighter) or Andy stepped into the ring under full MT rules they would have to slow down the tempo or they would be cut to shreds from the elbows. It's a lot harder to connect all those punches when all elbows, throws and full clinch is allowed. In MT every body part is a potential target it's the force of the strike that determines if you score a point.

@Borealis2007 well first of all Masato and Sower are not MMA fighters. Secondly this is not a K1 fight. It's a fight under full muya thai rules - 5 rounds + elbows. So you have to be way more careful and save energy cause otherwise your opponent is gonna kill you in round 5 ;)
