  • i always asked myself: why such a calm and nice song for sephiroth's great reunion?

  • cloud wants his number tat Hojo =p

  • Farming Magic Pots... lets not forget the wonderful Movers though! Always in sets of 3 ;)

  • Professor...please give me an add card for your class. Please, Professor...

  • For some reason this song reminds me of a Cradle of Filth song called Gabrielle. I don't know why...

  • Thinking ur game froze when it got to that part when the screen turned white for awhile.....lol

  • I remember that scary swamp in the northern cave...it was so strange that cloud could walk under water there...and then this strange, mysterious melody...

  • Comment removed

  • @FaceXDpalm: it plays during the reunion scene, and at the final crater where you find all those Magic Pots. :D

  • @mewnani I didn't like the magic pots because you got to keep giving them an elixir but they do give you a lot of gil and exp.

  • @sonic30129 you use the item dup trick with the w item for your elixers problem solved.

  • I was kinda mad this song only played once through the game...or am i forgetting a few parts?

  • i want to play this game again.

  • Back then.. Everything was just fine..:(

  • Weapon has opened his eye,,, O God, IS AMAZING; IS ARMA (weapon)

  • i love this song

  • when it kicks in at 1:01 I get chills like never before

  • Nobuo is an expert at making this kind of music ^_^

  • Black Cloaked Guy #5 - I hope there's food

    Black Cloaked Guy #6 - I hope there's music

Black Cloaked Guy #7 - I hope you two shut up, I'm trying to listen to the music.

  • this is the climax of the game. epic.

  • very ominous isnt it

  • first time this played when cloud went missing. man... i remember that moment. All the chars are going "no dont do it, this is not you". Epic game, nuff said.

  • @SourPill I concur :):)

  • Check out my guitar cover in the video responses!

  • R...e..u..n..i...o...n...

  • magic pots...tonberries...and movers....oh the countless hours of leveling up

  • @VictorVonFox Tonberries are not on this place... It's a little higher in the cave with Black Dragoons.

  • @Tigamer no im right i just played the game and this song plays where the master tonberrys are so :P

  • @VictorVonFox don't forget there was this lazy, son of a ET, woman killer, Sephiroth in this place at the first place...

  • Cloud: I don't even know what a reunion is!

Sephiroth: It's when people gather up together after a long separation dumbass.

    Cloud:....

    Sephiroth: *trollface*

  • Whenever I hear this, I always think of Cloud giving Sephiroth the black materia

  • 1:01 OHHHHHH YESSSSSSS.............

  • B.l.a.c.k. M.a.t.e.r.i.a.

  • This song pierces my heart so much...

  • Love this song. Shame there will never be a video game again with music as good as FF7...

  • @zephyrmop u must not play alot of videogames then

  • @kbd668 There's really no games since FF7 that have had such a strong musical soundtrack. Please offer something to back your argument up and prove me wrong.

  • @zephyrmop mother 3

  • @kbd668 Just checked it out. I'd say FF7s soundtrack is still musically superior.

  • @zephyrmop I agree but you should check out soul reaver and SR2's soundtrack.

  • @zephyrmop Final Fantasy Tactis has nice soundtracks too.

  • never fails to soothe my soul. powerful stuff,,,

  • @thebadpolitician: ...nah, not really. *runs away really fast*

  • my reunion.... bet your dying to watch....

  • Rufus: "You keep a lot to yourself, don't you?

  • SEPHIROTHS COMING

  • Got to love the master work of art these people composed throughout the whole story.

  • This song is so calming... |D

  • man i love this song so much, i've done an orchestral version of this one, hope you guys like it, please check it out:

    /watch?v=WZ___giMfUs

  • Epic theme, way too advance to ever understand.

  • check out my symphonic version watch?v=o1Yq2sSFzeE

  • The first time this plays at northern cave is just perfect. You feel the cloudy, unclear, confused mind of Cloud as Sepheroth reveals his true past... Even now, I feel day-dreamy and I feel lost listening to this. God what a great game to bring this much depth to story telling!

  • Loved this theme, however it should switch places with the underwater theme as that song is too creepy for underwater travelling :D

  • 2 people didn't make it to the reunion.

  • This theme is sooooo far out there. Seriously playing this game with all of these amazing themes made me feel like I was trippin or something. FF7 is a drug!

  • @ralfietv Have you ever played it trippin'? By god, it's life-changing. Well, it's life-changing sober.

  • @AnotherMe21 you mean on lsd right???well i want to try it.. it will be something extraordinary along with its songs ... the graphics... the scenario... maybe will be something divine...final fantasy 7 on lsd...hmmm not bad idea!!

  • @taimike2 Well, I played it on DXM, the active ingredient in cough syrup. I was a teenager at the time, but DXM is like kiddie-trippin'. I never played video games on acid 'cause I was always at concerts on it. LSD will make that game SO INTENSE with the music! Let me know how it turns out, man. I'm sure with the main themes of the decaying world thanks to the government, the whole idea of everything being connected as one (lifestream), and Cloud's identity crisis, it will make ONE HELLUVA TRIP!

  • @taimike2 Oh yeah, if you've never done it before, be sure you are in a place you feel COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE. Be sure you are in a good mood and don't have any major conflicts going on in your life at the time. (they will HAUNT you and possibly make you have a bad trip) Above all, relax and lose yourself in the game. Be prepared to learn a lot about yourself, and a lot about the world. I swear the developers of this game had to be trippers.

  • @ralfietv I'm sure we all know what you mean. It's truuuuuue!

  • god this song feels so lifeless i enjoy this song

  • Totally separates itself from the rest of VII. The moment where it's clear this could end tomorrow if he isn't stopped.

  • GIMME ELIXIR!

  • @Firefromheaven906: Boy that would be useful, wouldn't it? We could know of a certain murderous nutcase's presence in advance. :D

  • powerful song ! strikes the soul :Z

  • I wish my life had background music. You could: 1. Tell when a certain person was coming, and 2. Know when something was going wrong because something along the lines of this theme would play. And I would be a lot more pensive. (If that was possible. >->; ) And normal stuff like taking tests and driving would be so much cooler.

  • @Firefromheaven906 Hahahaha thanks for this comment !!

  • This music plays when you're in a reoccurring dream and everything that you know about your life is different, things don't make sense and what you've always known is lost. You are in your town, but it's different, and you'd like to see if that place exists one day... Oh, and everything is brighter... Cause that's how dreams are...

  • I didn't use the magic pots for XP. I just used them to get AP for my materia :D The bouncing balls are brilliant for that! I remember spending ages there with triple growth weapons mastering all the materia.... so worth it :D I freaking love this game!

  • Why does everyone find this creepy? I always found it sad, beautiful, and simplistic...

  • @BartekCorporation I totally agree with you.

  • @BartekCorporation I agree.

  • Magic Pot: Gimme Elixir!

Me: Gladly. I have plenty thanks to the W-Item duplication bug *chucks Elixir*. Now if you wouldn't mind, I'm a very busy man so if you could just hand over your criminally high amounts of EXP/AP/Gil I'll be on my way to Cosmo Canyon to get my grubby mits on a shiny master materia :P

  • this song absolutely melts my heart

  • Where do you find a video of the actual reunion scene?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME!!!

  • @64mgv FF7 walkthrough part 70 thats what i saw to watch it

  • @animeguy24 cool thanks :P

  • this sounds like something that'd be on the twilight zone, or some unnatural force is watching you..... yep that's what happens when you play final fantasy. things become way too philosophical

  • I love this song...It's almost like the quiet before a storm. <3

  • This song reminds me of constantly being in this one area in the northern cave, looking to fight Magic Pots so they can give me a huge amount of Exp after giving them mega elixirs. They were my main way to get to level 99 easily. =D

  • @bewbala

my thoughts exactly, all the hours doing this just brings back the greatest of memories. Except i would also listen to the music from time to time in the cave just because there was something inviting yet creepy about it as well.

  • @bewbala lol yea the main reason I got W-item materia is 4 these guys

  • @bewbala Hell yeah! Magic pot training was awesome.:)

  • @bewbala naa not creepy i think like dood doot dood you know happy song thumbs up if you agree

  • @bewbala I did the same. But once you're out, you're out of them forever.

  • @ClayGunslinger

not if you have the w-item materia which can keep giving you 99 elixirs =)

  • @bewbala wait.........how?

I'm also not sure if I ever got that materia :/

  • @ClayGunslinger

google w-item materia to get more information on it. you can get it in the tunnels when going back to midgar through parachute, or dig it up at bone village. it's a glitch that helps you basically never run out of throw items (such of potions [elixirs], or battle throw items).

  • @bewbala Yeah, this song reminds me of that too, ZI'm not level 99 yet but I have mastered f*** loads of materia! I used that materia to beat emerald weapon I was like HELL YES! F***ING INFINITE KotRT :D

  • @bewbala So, there's no risk of dying against safer sephiroth without them? o.o

  • @Xiao2070

Well there's always a risk. Sephiroth's difficulty increases the higher the level you are. i just wanted to be level 99 so I could use my ultimate weapons, have a perfect game, and beat all the weapons =)

  • The music blends in with the game so seamlessly sometimes that it is hard to fathom. I remember playing through this part in the game and feeling Cloud's sense of hopelessness when he starts to give in to Sephiroth. Whenever I listen to the music from this game I just wish I could go back in time, and play through this game for the first time again.

  • @tmdonahu I wholly agree with you there. This song has so much of my childhood in it

  • Comment removed

  • OMG I love this theme xD It's so creepy, if I woke up and this was playing I'd be like OMG PLEASE NOOOO!

  • @MinamimotosGirl This theme gives me the sense of exploring whatever the hell I just woke up too :D

  • @MinamimotosGirl If I woke up and this was playing, I'd feel like something was up so I'd get dressed and just go explore. See if anything strange was happening.

    ADVENTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE!

  • I haven't stopped playing.

  • sounds like a secret form the ocean

  • this is the best song of the OST for me

  • Too Sad this song

  • ff7 has something about it that just makes you want to play it.

  • maybe we could talk about the song???

yeah its definitely my favourite song in the game, it reminds me of zoetrope by boards of canada

  • I always wachted my older brother and father playing this game, until I was old enough to play it myself :D

  • Why do so many fans of the original game feel the need to hate Advent Children and the rest of the compilation? I love FFVII and it's sequels. AC is an awesome movie in my opinion. Haven't played Dirge of Cerberus (no PS2) but it looks like it has it's cool parts. And the story's neat. Crisis Core is awesome. Go, Zack! So, in short, I think FFVII is made of win, and I feel much the same way about the compilation.

  • AC IS TRASH COMPARED TO ORIGINAL

  • Benardus22: the complete definition of a Final Fantasy VII fanboy down to a t. Biased, asserts opinion as fact, uses illogical fallacies when arguing, and fails to recognize that each FF soundtrack has its moments.

So sad that the FF universe has been plagued by people such as him.

  • @Kaggypants

Sorry minority no one cares about you.

  • @Benardus22 Always nice to start the day by destroying a FFVII fanboy in a simple debate. =) Considering there is nothing left to discuss and the only thing you have to offer up is nerd rage, I'm going to go do something a little more productive. Why don't you start working on Ahead On Our Way's piano collection version? Might be less embarrassing than your current video.

  • @Kaggypants

You have no piano video's at all. So big talk for someone who SAYS he can play. 16 years piano, yeah sure. Go jerk off to some FFX hentai and calm your nerves nerd, I'm off to my girlfriends.

  • @Benardus22 Why would I want to post a video of me playing the piano? I am not so insecure that I need others to tell me about my playing to formulate my own opinion. Quite weak. Anyways, I'm pretty sure your non-existent girlfriend and FFX 'hentai' have quite a lot in common. You shouldn't make assumptions about someone's sexual preference either. Please keep commenting! You clearly demonstrate immaturity with every post.

  • @Kaggypants You are a Class A twat. FACT. I don't care if this isn't condtuctive, the time I've taken is the little time pathetic people like you deserve.

  • @KOTRobioto Cry more kid.

  • This song just brings back so much nostalgia and so many mixed feelings. Good and bad. When you hear this song after that fateful event... it's just ah... nice, but at the same time sad because of what happened.

  • Ahh this reminds me of the hours spent farmin magic pots

  • Heaven

  • i like it ive listened to it a few times

  • There's a weird marsh place inside the cavern with this music, the place has these purple guys hiding inside pots that will give you so much AP it's unbelievable. The best is when you get like 4 guys at the same time, but shitty thing is you have to feed them elixirs or they just hide and no AP.

  • You lot could always get a Playstation and, I dunno, play it again instead of acting like the game is non existant anymore.

  • so sad...and absolutly beautiful at the same time.......this song tells us that our journey with Cloud and the others is at its end and everyone is doomed-like there is no hope or something....lm grateful for seeing this game in my life, and lm sorry for those who won't experience this masterpiece...No other game will ever give us the feelings ff7 gave us....ever..

  • There's a part in the crater with this music and it is by far the best place to master your materia, just make sure you have alot of elixirs if you know what I'm talking about. Not just that if you go right 2 screens you can get the magic counter materia which is very useful for defeating Emerald and Ruby weapons...

  • Ah how I miss 1997, this song makes me remember those ff7 days.

  • Love the FF7 music. It is definitely the best work of Uematsu ever.

    I'd like to add:

Fuck the Advent Children wannabees. AC doesn't compare to the original FF7. Not in music or anything. Ow and I feel sorry for the people who will never play FF7 like we did. The finest graphics ever seen ( which now look like crap :P ), the best story and the best music. No one will appreciate this as we did back then. Feel privileged, cause we are!

  • I feel what you feel brotha.

  • @Benardus22

    damn right!

  • @Benardus22 Just so ya know, a lot of us DID Like both the Original and Advent Children, myself included, having played VII first.

  • @Benardus22 It's sad that a lot of people won't give this game a try. I know someone that only played FFX, and won't bother to try FFVII out because of the graphics. If they only knew what they were missing...

  • @Secnateb Then there not worth it. FF x is great but ff 7 is the one where it all startet with its still my n1 game ever and probabbly if you ask me the question when im 50 il tell you FF 7

  • @Secnateb If someone wont play this because of *graphics* than you need to smack the ego outa that person.

  • @Benardus22 by far one of the most true comments on youtube.

  • @Benardus22 Best work of Uematsu's? Hardly.

  • Comment removed

  • @Kaggypants

A vast majority including myself disagree with you. I played all games with his music in it, I know his works, this remains his best work ever. So please, don't embarrass yourself.

  • @Benardus22 Do you have any statistical data behind that? Otherwise 'vast majority' equates to 'pulling statistics out of my rear'. Embarrass myself? I'm pretty sure I was playing FFIII imported when you were in diapers. I'm also pretty sure I know Uematsu's work a tad better than yourself. So take a seat and stick to playing the non-piano collections version of 旅の途中で m k? Now THAT'S embarrassing.

  • @Kaggypants

Playing non piano collections? That's the REAL music intended from the game, I don't get a hard on for remakes like you. Tour de Japon has pieces selected by Nobue himself, guess which game comes back the most? Yeah that's right FF7, even Nobue doesn't deny it. Embarrasing that the creator doesn't agree with you. You assert the claim that it's hardly the best work of Uematsu. He who claims bears the burden of proof. So show me, more sales or views on other FF's? Hardly.

  • @Benardus22 Piano collections are a specific part of FF piano scores hand picked and composed in an advanced fashion. You don't get 'hard' for remakes? How eloquent. That's a nice way of saying: "I lack the ability to play the piano collections version so I'll just gimp it and go with a version that was transcribed by a fan with little knowledge about music composition." Funny you should bring up Tour de Japon considering those scores were not the REAL music in the game: they were orchestrations

  • @Kaggypants

Tour de Japon proofs my point, I don't care more for that music than the original, you also have no idea of my skill. I play what I like, it is no indicator of my ability. So stop the petty remarks and grow up. FF7 is more popular then the rest and you have no evidence to the contrary. So keep on making insults mr. Open minded, I'll stick to the facts.

  • @Benardus22 You have not provided any evidence that cites FFVII as the most popular besides your own opinion. Burden of proof --> yourself. Tour de Japon was nullified by Distant Worlds and Distant Worlds 2. You keep on sticking to your fabricated facts, though. It seems to have gotten you far.

  • @Kaggypants

Your "proof" is worthless, so is your perference and "experience. Go to Amazon, check the FF series soundtracks sold:

FF7: Amazon Bestsellers Rank: 76,826 in Music

The rest is all 80,000 or lower in the ranking list.

Idiot I was right from the very beginning FF7 soundtracks sell like hot cakes. How dull I actually had to proof something so OBVIOUS. It's common knowledge, wake up. Well there's some real proof. 23 year old idiot.

  • @Benardus22 And you decided to pick Tour de Japon: a one time event. Distant Worlds is the on-going tour and the one you should cite an example from (if any). Fancy that: FFVII pieces are played twice and FFVIII pieces are played three times. Distant Worlds 2? FFIX has 3 tracks as does FFVII. Funny part? Uematsu himself has stated that he had the most fun composing the FFIX soundtrack (which is infinitely better than FFVII's). You sure you know his work? Doesn't seem like you know much at all.

  • @Kaggypants

Fun doesn't indicate what the public wants. Proof your burder get me some statics on sales, otherwise you got nothing.

  • @Benardus22 BTW, if you want to be taken seriously at least learn to spell his name. Nobuo Uematsu. Nobue? Right. My burden of proof has been lifted in the fact that the composer even has stated that IX is his favorite track and not VII. How embarrassing for you to not know such a common fact considering you follow his work so intricately.

Anyways, I don't know why I even bother with you. You're just another clueless FFVII fanboy whose taste in music is biased and filled with poor selection.

  • @Kaggypants

Btw, your 23 and I'm 22. So what the hell is with your diaper argument? You say open minded in your channel, you sound more like a bigoted child.

  • @Benardus22 As you can see, a year makes a world of difference when it comes to experience with music and overall intelligence. I've been playing the piano for 16 years and have followed Uematsu since his beginning. I understand music on a much deeper level than you can ever hope to. Please re-read your comments before hitting the post button. Anyone your age should know how to conjugate proof (proves), burden, and use the term bigoted properly.

  • @Kaggypants

You don't seem to understand the burden of proof. You come barging in with your: "Best work? hardly" well boy, make your claim then. Up till now your the only one disagreeing with my comment, and Tour de Japon is a straight forward example of what the public wants. So come on then, any sales you'd like to tell me about? Composers preference doesn't cut it. How dull you have nothing

  • @Benardus22

Your personal feelings and 16 years of experience have no bearing on your claim: What's his best work, give some evidence stop running your mouth. Evidence of the public not your liking or that of the creator. Your have nothing. Age is not the only indicator of intelligence, that's a very dumb assumption. Proof it, no more side talk.

  • @Benardus22 Tour de Japon has already been dismissed. Please keep up. Distant Worlds and Distant Worlds 2 are TWO direct examples of how inaccurate your claims are as they are 1) not a one time event and 2) give counter-examples to your pathetic argument about having FFVII's music featured 'most' in Tour de Japon. The embarrassment for you is compounded by the fact that Distant Worlds was much more successful and held more than one concert (actually many more).

  • @Kaggypants

But you don't have much integrity either, sadly your just a bigot child that tries to undermine others by insults and minor spelling errors. Yeah that's very grown up, your parents must be proud.

  • @Benardus22 Please look up the definition of bigot. My parents are probably proud because I can use a term I learned in middle school correctly. Ironically, if you were to look at this you would see that the only biased person here is yourself. I am not advocating that another FF's soundtrack is better than another. I do not have bias as such. You are arguing in absolutes, however, which is a sign of immaturity and weakness.

  • @Kaggypants

I'll make it easy: Qoute "Best work of Uematsu? Hardly" What his is best work and whats your proof. I'd like the public to decide that, the composer's wishes are irrelevant. Come on, proof it. If you can't this is ov

  • @Benardus22 Thank you. You've been boxed in now. :) I am not idiotic enough to make claims using absolutes. I do not think one FF soundtrack trumps the other. They all have their wonderful moments. Once again, the correct usage is 'prove'. I'm glad you seem to catch on 'quickly'. You also cited your personal experience and opinions and then tell me that I cannot do that. That is what we call a contradiction. One illogical fallacy after another with you it would seem. Too bad.

  • @Benardus22 BTW, this fallacy you are using is called appeal to belief. Refrain from using it in the future. You have also used: appeal to emotion, appeal to popularity, bandwagon, biased sample, begging the question, and about 5 other fallacies in this exchange alone. Your credibility is dwindling.
