we do ours differently in first part. ranged and healers stay up on upper left corner while tank/dps go to lower right corner. then once he teleports, we go do dance. rinse and repeat

when i did this all but one dps wiped on the lava while he was at about 89%hp. so it took about 45 minutes for the 2 tanks, 1 hunter and 3 healers to down him. fun times :P

Until a few days ago, when mt killed himself horribly and I managed to pick Heigan up. This video really helped me a lot! I visualized the fight in my head and tanked this successfully from start to finish last night =)

Not really, ALL the spell casters are up on that plateform where the boss is when you start the encounter,But what sucks is you get a debuff sometimes when your up there that reduces casting time by like 80%, so only use instant cast shit at that time, lol and when the boss telaports back up to the platform, thay all run back, you dont have to dps the boss, but you can.

Don't apologize about the explanation for the green explosions, you did a good job. It's something that players really have to see for themselves once or twice in order to get it. I suppose that's true for every boss fight, but this one especially.  If it's your first time vs. Heigan, just expect to die. Nuff said.

First time i got at Heigan the RL spammed our chat with a shitload of tacts wich were writed so bad that u couldent get shit. We wiped like 5 times XD but thing is that in the end only me and the MT were able to do the safety dance perfecly, most of the range dps dying at first wave and healers while channeling. So heigan is more about skills then gear, since u can do it with just 1 dps 1 tank 1 healer.

Great video. Just an idead for the first part of the fight so you dont have to run and tank at the same time. Have the tank pull him to the floor and once aggro is established have the tank stand on the corner of the platform and the boss should stay on the floor. Ranged and heals stand in the back corner to the right. They will not get buff. after this phase of the fight go back to the way you did it in the video.

On most MT's a full hit will take them down to approximately 25% hp (assuming they lie on 30k hp+ in raidbuffs). All melee/range dps and healers will die by 1 hit. But if the eruptions miss you by a bit/you dont take a full hit some dps'ers might survive (assuming they lie on 18.5k hp+ in raidbuffs)

I base this on my own experience since Im one of the very few healers in my guild who acctually survive the whole fight.

When I did this not much, since I was in T6, in 10 man buffs like 27-29K I gues, around there.

Also Patchwerk and this are completely different Patchwerk is a gear check, this is a retard check. As long as people listen its easy, I also 2 manned this, it took 53 mins, but we did it in 10 man. So if you have a tank and a healer who can play then it wont matter if the other 8 people die like we did :)

i do this fight nearly every week. me, 1 tank and a DPS are the only people who survive. the fight ends up taking nearly 25 mins every turn. it takes forever with absolutly nobody but it can be done :P

1 Healer - Not too hard keep the MT and diseased people topped off

2 Healers - Look like your doing something and heal a little bit

3 Healers - Sit back, relax, /dance a little bit, maybe 1 or 2 HoT's and generally slack :P

But seriously the healing here is ez-mode unless people get hit by the green shit. So just go to your spot and maybe even DoT the boss or do a little DPS as our healers do :P

There is a much easier way to do this boss. At DDR phase, to the right of his podium is a crack in the wall, if you run in there you do not get hit by it. Very easy glitch to do.

I just "pugged" this boss as and it was atleast; my first time... it was a wipe at first time, 2nd time too due too many dying... then on 3rd try it was succes... however we had only 7 left afther first wave... ended with 5 left, but succeed :P if you died once and see how the "toxic" comes up from the ground you understand much better where to stand.

The last reset in 10 man, we got him to about 60-70% on the first phase, then after that everyone exept me the Pala healer and Shammy healer died. It took us just over an hour but we killed him hehe, thank god for the healers MP5 and Spell Power for the Shamans DPS :P
