You really dished out in that roll. I've seen that mistake kill several pilots. Good thing you are in such a forgiving airplane. Same mistake in, say, a T-6 at that altitude = dead pilot and passengers.
People need to chill out. Experimental aircraft don't need to be "certified" for aerobatics. Pilots can do whatever they want with them as long as they stay within their design limits. A loop can be done in a CH-701 at 2G's; for comparison, a 60 degree bank level turn is also a 2G maneuver. Is a 60 deg bank turn also reckless?
Showoff - that's what you are. That aircraft is not built for arobatic and it is directly stupid to make that kind of maneuver in it. Lets hope that you not learn this the hard way !
Petty cool, I wouldn't try it though only because the plane isn't rated for it. The G force is not a factor in doing loops and rolls if executed correctly. Incoreectly Gs will ruin your engine because of loss of oil pressure.
The people who get killed in airplanes are the people who act irresponsible like this.. specially on this type of aircraft, one that was first of all home built, and second not even close to being certified for aerobatics..
Loops and rolls can be performed in any aircraft when done smoothly. This is very important in quick slick aircraft. NOT so important in draggy machines such as the 701. I suspect that the thick wing combined with its shortness is a very strong structure and would be difficult to "break it"
So many people see airplanes as straight and level machines, like cars, forgetting that they are fun 3d machines and that spins rolls and loops are for the most part, safe to perform
Perhaps not "absolutely reckless", but not "perfectly safe" either. +6 / -3 are the ultimate load factors, not the approved G limits.
It would be interesting to know whether the airplane shown in the video is fitted with a G meter; and if so, what loads were placed upon the aircraft in the maneuvers (rather sloppily) demonstrated.
IMO, this is a very poor choice for an aerobatic mount. Thick wing, full-length leading-edge slats, low-powered engine, etc. etc.
roll was off line by a long way and loop was pinched. Must be nice to fly a plane you built and obviously trust.
Personally i would read the POH and stick to it, c ya in heaven dude and save me a spot cause i am sure you'll get there first. As another said, "Be CAREFUL MY FRIEND"
Its stressed for 6 positive Gs and 3 negative Gs, it only takes about 3 Positive for a loop. says my dad who owns one of those (among others) and is a flight instructor.
how do you know how high it was? never showed the ground in relation to the plane, it was probably just a camera with good zoom.(this wasn't meant to make you look stupid)

man, you taught yourself all that? respect.
Say hi from my side to Borat, he very very funny.

Can the aircraft take so much of stress?
I think you need to replace those ribs and fasteners...probably

Can that plane lock it gyros?

@dmbernasconi I keep my gyro sandwich firmly in my pocket why i fly.

What is wrong with you people? If he wants to do aerobatics in a Sky Jeep, let him. It's HIS life and HIS plane he can do what he wants.

is that legal?

would it be possible for you to say what music you used please?

Low level aeros + untrained pilot = dead. Worse in an unrated aircraft.

That is absolute reckless.

+6, -3. Should be fine if you know what you are doing, and you built it yourself....

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely not...especially in hands of less than long skilled pilot. Good way to buy a farm.

even if he aircraft can take the loads it is still illegal, especially if the F.A.A doesn't approve Aerobatic maneuvers in that type.
you really don't know how the aircraft behaves in unusual attitudes and might end up in an inverted flat spin.

Use top rudder & stay out of that elevator and your roll wont dish out like that. Be careful my friend.

Hi karagym, abaila
You better do it on L-39
see at bkourman "L-39 Aileron roll"
Where are you based?

omg how did you do that specially in an ultralight (my dad is building one)

I wished I did know him! I hear he is very popular with the ladies in America. (I am not so luck, that is why I have much time to build airplane...)

A couple questions come to mind. First, do you know Borat? And second, was it his idea that you TEACH YOURSELF aerobatics? Nice CH701 anyways!
