Well to me anyway. They really expanded my tastes as far as music goes. Before I would just listen to punk music generally and Tom Petty. After I heard Sunny Day Real Estate, it opened up a new realm of music to me.

I'm pretty sure they are going to because at a recent Jeremy Enigk show, Jeremy said he couldn't play any SDRE songs without the rest of the band ( Jeremy usually plays 2-3 SDRE songs at his shows if your not familiar with his solo efforts).
