This video is one of my all time favourites. Watched it since I got my first whippet, and nowadays two of them lie on my couch and make my bed.. <3 Wonderful companions, great and very adaptive dogs indeed.

Tell me, do your whippets do that crazy 360 spin on the spot thing? (it usually means multiples of 360. Mine does up to about 5 on the spot)

As others have mentioned, whippets have a beautiful motion. I take mine down the some local low tide sandflats which she adores,running in circles..yeah, wonderful to watch.

whippets are beautiful..I love watcing them run..my 3 year old whippet, Rocko (known as Roo) has a girlfriend called Sky. This video is amazing, whippets running has to be the happiest thing the world can offer...

Thank you! I actually filmed this on a cheap and cheerful little Panasonic camcorder - the key to good shots and smooth tracking is to use a tripod :)

Really? That's neat. I'd have thought it wouldn't be able to cature fast movement so well. Shows what I know about cameras I guess (or the speed of whippets).

It's also about very selective editing - I filmed an hour and a half of (mostly) rubbish footage to get five minutes of the good stuff :)
