This series was DEFINETLY the last GOOD series of grange hill and the last of the 'hard hitting' series, although i was 11 at the time it was on T.V this is the series i remember the most =)

In this episode Alex tried to kill himself by diving in the pool, as he's been bullied all year due to his size, and he leaves a dvd recording to his mum and dad, Spencer sees it and initially dismisses it as a whinge, but later notices it says To Mum and Dad and Alex saying how he loves it underwater, then trigs, runs out shouting, Baz asks what's wrong and together they save him.

DVD's, go to Grange Hill Schoolyard, if you're serious, post loads of stuff and you'll be able to get some.

Did he save his life? This is a Grange Hill from much later than I remember. When I was growing up, it was the likes of characters like Tucker Jenkins. Late 70's to mid 80's. But I watched some of the later series too. Is Grange Hill still running?

yes he did save his live, grange hill is still on bbc but they now are in liverpool and not london, this scene is set in the new liverpool school

Yeah its still going... I watch it A LOT!!!! They did save Alex's (thats his name) life but he gets bullied again later and he (accidentally) starts bullying another kid to help him and he steals off his own friends to get through each day but he tells someone eventually and he gets through it!!!!
