Seriously... answer me this one thing - do you really live under the assumption that all scientists (or lets say majority of) believe in some kind of 2012 mumbo jumbo happening? You really believe that?

@MrDezokokotar--..it is not happening just in 2012, but every day since decades.Energetic shifts are happening in waves in the universe and 2012 is the culmination this time,causing dna and consciousness to evolve,as it has been doing for millions of years,for this you need to study huge volumes of data,before that you can´t see the whole story.That´s all so far i am going to take time to respond as all answers are available for everyone if willing to take the time and effort to grow..

And who are these peers---they will be gatekeepers for the established science which creates its own dogmas which it calls 'theories' and if free-minded scientists CHALLENGE established theories they are challenged every step of the way. If there was a real phenomenon and papers written about it, scientists would be all over it. You realize that discovering proof of aliens would potentially warrant huge grants or awards, even a nobel prize. Why do you think nobody tries to pursue it? Because there is no phenomenon.

If you had actually taken the time to do ANY serious investigation of loads of UFO evidence, you would see that it is very real, but since UFO events are not repeatable in experiments it is beyond the scope of the scientific method. That is the real reason that current science cannot study it, because SCIENCE CANNOT STUDY RANDOM EVENTS. If you would actually do some investigation and observation yourself, you wouldn't be waiting for someone else to reveal UFO reality.

@banthamobile sure... but the first step they could do is to write a proper scientific paper of the random event they observed, post if for peer review and have it published. Then if someone else encountered a crop circle they could do the same and compare their findings. Problem?
It has been some time the circles have been around... and random events as you call them happen quite often, there should be something as yet unexplainable to link them in the studies. Thing is, there isnt.

@MrDezokokotar It is the cause of crop circles that cannot be studied, because only the fingerprint remains. And that is the real mystery, isn't it? Not the effect. Plenty of scientific study has been done on crop circles to reveal expulsion cavities, radioisotopes and magnetic anomalies. Those are facts, beyond what can be attributed to human activity. Yet, the circles are intelligent creations. So who is creating them if not humans? How can science study what it cannot see?

@banthamobile you dont get it... there has been no study! And i mean peer-reviewed published study in a respectable journal. I dont care about some guy whos a physicist SAYING he has done a study. Until its verified and published, its as good as nothing at all.
So no, there havent been any anomalies beyond our understanding verified by science. And even if there were, it still doesnt prove aliens. It could have been an unknown natural phenomenon, God or magical circle creating fairies.

What does publishing a paper and having it verified by other people have to do with maintaining dogmas? Its simply a tool to wash out crap because theres alot of crap, alot of crazy ideas. There needs to be some way to distinguish them from good ideas. Verification by unbiased professionals is a good way to do so.
Simply trusting someone because they have a physics degree is not.
