  • your eyes are sooooo cashed in this one lol

  • Beloved.. awesome, thank you so much!..feeling more freed up already! Don't mean to hijack your thread here o.o, i'm desperately looking for TNM live stream! But could you also help me to understand 1 Cor. 10:13? This time on spiritual death lol! Being that our old man has been crucified with Christ, how can we still be tempted, dead men cannot be tempted? Much LOVE brother and many thanks!!

  • Romans 8:10 And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God.

2 Corinthians 4:16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.

Hebrews 9:27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment

Just wanted you to help me to understand.. =/

  • Rom. 8:10 doesn't say your body will "one day" die. It says your body IS dead! LOL But some translators insert their viewpoint.

"But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness." (KJV)

Is your physical body dead right now? Of course not. Adam Clarke says: "the body is dead because of sin, in reference to sin; the members of your body no more perform the work of sin than the body of a dead man does the functions of natural life."

  • @SFclawfun While some theologians assume this is your physical body, because they assume everyone will physically die - it's not majority opinion.

On the 2Cor.4 verse you mentioned, Paul is talking about being persecuted to death - go check it out in context.

  • @SFclawfun And the Heb. 9 verse "It is appointed every man to die once ..." Well, I already have! "I have been co-crucified with Christ. I no longer live, but Christ lives in me." (Gal. 2:20). Now I am a participant of something called "eternal life!" Woo Hoo!

So there's no condemnation - I can physically die if I want to - and sure, most people do. But I don't have to.

  • Did you recently have a b-day?! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! If the Lord doesn't come in our life time (which I believe He is) may he give you another 86 years if you so desire! =)

  • John I love you and God bless! The Lord has shown me many things and has brought me closer to Himself through your ministry. Brother yesterday I heard one of your recent teachings at One Kingdom Fellowship "Grace". You made mention that you are not a sinner, "I don't sin". If that were so then why would your body ever die and have the need for another being the new creation that you are, is it not sin that kills our bodies? Could you help me to understand?

  • @SFclawfun Who said you have to die? :)

  • WONDERFUL

  • Again, John, God has used this video to be TOTAL confirmation to me. A lady just told me today as a matter of fact that I'm preaching greasy grace. LOL. Praise God! I want to preach saturated fat grace!!! Chunky, fill all the arteries greasy grace!!! LOL Oh, praise God, thank you Holy Spirit! This was just what I needed.

  • Good stuff. A semi-fair, more modern, term would be "contentment", although that conveys the idea of mere satisfaction rather than the positive, ravishing delight promised in the Scriptures. Certainly a good place to start, but not to end at.

Regarding the sinful nature: I think we continue to sin because our greatest enemy is not the devil but our memories, mostly related to old "programming" regarding how to handle sin and temptation (I.e. how "we do it" rather than the Spirit doing it.).

  • This is so awesome. A total confirmation to what God's been revealing to me. Thank you Lord! Praise You Holy Spirit for guiding us into all truth. Yeah, more baggage falling off! Yes Lord!

  • John, I want to jump through my screen and just love you all over!! MAN, that's a good word!

  • I am a calvinist who DOESNT LIKE CALVINISTS. They are so harsh and rough. Paul was as rough around the edges as u or I. I just posted a very short (2 mins) clip which asks questions from ONE CHRISTIAN TO ANOTHER and so many Christians have sent me serious hate mail over it. I simply asked some questions that don't come up everyday or go against the mainstream and they FLIP. The atheists have treated me with more respect!!! This is rough for the unregenerate heart to understand. Cheers!

  • man that was gooooood!!

  • Oh my God this is so good! I need to hear this message every day. Thank you John

  • So good. Thanks!

  • Hey John! Preach it! I'm curious though...

I really want to know what you think about 1 Cor 14:1, where Paul says to "zealously desire" the spiritual? How does that coincide with being totally satisfied and the fact that we already have every spiritual blessing in Jesus? Much love to you!

  • Mmm. More truth, more freedom in Christ!

  • Sooooooo much whack on the explanation for the misconception about Grace. Thanks John x

  • gorgeous!

  • Thanks for the extravagant message of Love..this is what I want to hear everyday.

  • Some great revelatory statements and thinks to really dwell on for the week, and just be satisfied with what Christ has done. IT IS FINISHED! woohooo!

  • awesome video

  • Haha, that was fantastic =D ! In particular the "energizer bunny" and "it's finished for today" parts! The "Grace Creed" XD : "I'm not pressing in any more, I've been pressed into, I'm not contending anymore, I've been contended for, I'm not a God-chaser anymore, I've been chased down, roped and hog-tied, bagged and dragged."

  • Thanks for this John this was great. Love you very very much brother.
