  • When there are no people at the church, I like the last questions the angel raises. He's saying that people only look to god when they need help or want something, but when things are going well, people tend to forget god.

I'm an atheist, so it's nice to see some condemnation of Christianity in this game, even if it is subtle.

  • LOL Sir Bob, I love it :D

  • Thanks for posting this . I got the last boss ages ago, but my save got deleted before I could beat him.

  • I like the victory theme at 0:20-0:41. Even if it is just 21 seconds long :). Actraiser's music was the bomb...oh, and the ending rocked too.

  • Omg this is such a good game... never got to play the 2nd one, was it good?

  • The second was a huge disappointment. It was entirely comprised of action sequences with no civilization building sim involved. 2d side scrolling crap.

  • Oh wow haha, Yeah I seen it being played and I did notice there was no cities or anything, yes... very disappointing. The civilization building was such a good feature on the first one!

    Thanks

  • What the fuck's with that part about the Bloodpoolers drawing lots? Is the one of the twists supposed to be that the whole time you've been playing as a bloodthirsty God who demands human sacrifices of his followers??? WTF?????

  • no, the monster you kill at the end of that level demands a sacrifice and you have to go kill him

  • @Secundas

Actually, it refers to BloodPool Act 2. The Master was told that a monster took over the old palace and demanded 3 sacrifices. One of those chosen was the boy, the people prayed to The Master to face the monster and save him.

  • Does anybody know where I can download a hacked rom of this game that restores the Judeo-Christian dialogue? You know, God instead of "The Master" and Satan instead of "Tanzra".

  • try to find a translation of the japanese version of the game

  • another typo " let's take one last look at each of the thriving towns we helped developed". Developed should not have been in past tense. Still I remember playing this game to death. did anyone notice how the meteor shower seemed better then the palace light attack?

  • I'm so happy that I found the ending here T_T I have this game, but I could never defeat the last boss even after a hundred of times. Then my controller broke, so I cant play the games anymore....this is so nostagic T__T

  • The ending is great. Even the part when humanity forgot their god even after all that...

  • i'm playing this right now, only problem with cheating like i'm doing is that your points rack up for like 20 minutes at the end of each level! pro action replay is great

  • I loved this game. It was fun being the "God" and loving the little people. There were some cool things about the game play like the "Let Us Listen" button and the requests of the people- like the guy who was mortally wounded while sealing the monsters lair and prayed for a little rain before he died. The Baddest Ass thing about this game was the music. The score and was brilliant for it's time and it's still in my favorites.

  • Thank you for posting this. I no longer have this game and I was so glad to be able to show this to my son.

  • thought provoking

  • I love this ending, and this music

  • i loved this gmae but fuck this ending sucked

  • Heh, I noticed a typo in the ending text. "on longer need our help".

  • question..what is the brief music in the very beginning of this video?? I like it, and can't place it exactly...

  • It's from Super Mario RPG. Forest maze music

  • Why is the game hard to play?
