  • Saturn is definitely one of my favorite planets in our solar system. Too bad the movie isn't out, I would buy it.

  • Visually and emotionally amazing. If you are not moved by these images then I don't know what to say.

  • Amazing and beautiful images, the music matches so well, the wonders of our solar system and the universe are almost beyond imagining ... thank you for showing this :)

  • Combining photos from Cassini so that they move from one to another is not "computer generated", and more than having a slideshow of your family photo album is. The PICTURES WERE TAKEN by the space craft-not generated from an animation program.

I think to be quibbling about the definitions of CGI is to miss the point-that Saturn is incredibly beautiful and here is a closer look at a fascinating planet.

  • THIS IS STUPID.

  • so wait, how you all know this is CGI? the video say "No CGI, NO 3D models." is that another NASA trick? when will we ever get facts from them? I guess that day may never come.

  • This should have more views

  • *****

  • fuck this CGI crap! x(

  • please video the saturn atmosphere, clouds and storms!

  • we are talking about the third part of the video (from 0.55 onwards).

Of course, the second part is CGI. Its obvious.

  • CGI = FAKE = SHIT = NOT REAL = FLAGGED .

  • @aMILoCusT

    Ignoramus.

  • This is not unmodified imagery from Cassini, and not an actual fly by from the spacecraft. They are a few snapshots Cassini took, processed, rotated, scaled, and distorted by a computer to look like a fly by. This is by definition CGI. A computer generated the images, even if real source photos were used as textures. If you don't consider that CGI, then Avatar used no CGI as they used real photo sources for their textures as well.

  • DeeeeLIGHTfully compelling conversation here, today.

  • "No CGI" my ass. These are still images manipulated in a computer to create the illusion of a flyby. That fits my definition of computer-generated images.

  • @adamjlynch Your definition is wrong.

  • @adamjlynch Actually, Cassini did do a flyby. This is as much CGI as stop-motion animation is.

  • Not that Adagio for Strings isn't a pretty piece, but it's entirely overused.

    Nice video.

  • move the fleet away from the...Iapetus?!?

  • Its Iapetus

  • But Saturn is a peaceful planet!

  • I dont get it!

  • It's a trap!

  • can someone please tell me the name of this song?

  • @xXDeanBeanXx 100% agree

  • if god so great why dident he make life on other plantes?

  • @yob771 lol wow im glad im not as stupid as you are

  • @jimmyPain2121 your the fucking stupid on if you think go is the creator of all this shit..... dippy

  • @yob771 lol wtf are you talking about Im agnostic, and your an idiot

  • @jimmyPain2121 i am to you dippy cunt!!!

  • @yob771 lol so what does god have to do with anything? your still a fucking idiot, you reasoning for disproving god was "if god is so great why didn't he make life on other planets?" jesus man go read a fucking book or something. theres a lot of idiots on youtube but you take the cake, seriously think about shit b4 you just mindlessly type a comment

  • @jimmyPain2121 shut up you dick you seem a bit slow lol

  • @yob771 ahah wow seriously thats the best insult you have? im slow? when ive blatantly proven that im infinitely more educated and articulate than you are... then you write "lol" at the end of you lil insult/joke ahah jesus i guess i should be annoyed at your insolence and stupidity but i find talking to people such as yourself reassures me of my own capability

  • @yob771

god doesnt exist, but there is a HUGE change of life existing elsewhere in the universe, so vast is its size and the total number of stars and planets. But in fact, there is even probability of microscopic life existing elsewhere on our own solar system (maybe on some of Jupiter´s or Saturn larger moons.)
