D.I.Y. Replacing A Rattan-Weave Seat

I never knew how this was done! Did you have to weave the caning or did you just reuse the one you took out of the chair already?

Problem is getting a professional repairer for the job, hence the D.I.Y.

Getting a new rattan seat is easy as there are many around if you search the net.

You are right. The water is to prevent breaking esp at sharp corners.
