I hate this whole true vs. untrue black metal bullshit. It held the genre back from blossoming for too long because in the eyes of the diehard fan, there's probably only four or five 'true' black metal bands, and what I've found in most of those cases is that they're really just NSBM bands which only accounts for a small percentage of black metal bands in the first place. Instead of trying to pidgeonhole genres, how about letting innovation take it's course and cross genres?
I Agree But If You Look At Old Cradle Its Just Not Black Metal. I Shouldnt Have Said "True" Black Metal, Because Like I Said I Do Agree. Black Metal Is Black Metal. I Just Dont Think Cradle Is Black Metal. Hopefully That Clarified Some Things For You, If Not Oh Well.

I'm just saying fuck the labels. Let's just call it metal and let it interbreed with itself like it's been doing for the last ten years so that we can continue getting bizarre combinations like blackened death metal, industrial black metal, and blackened bluegrass.
