The Fairness Doctrine can be tagged under different names. Obamas people said he only wants localism and has promised localism and media diversity which is what the Fairness Doctrine is.

The FCC Commissioner said when the government dictates the content of what a talk show can talk about, then whoever is in charge of the govern. would determine the fairness doctrine. Dems are in charge, they force anyone into silence with threats.

The Fairness Doctrine has nothing to do with "fairness". It's a ham-handed tactic by the Left to destroy conservative Talk Radio. They know damned well it's not about fairness; the Doctrine was tried in the 70s and was a total failure. It wound up reducing coverage of all controversial subjects.

And...the Dems KNOW it won't be upheld by the courts; it's a clear violation of free speech. But, they know it will take YEARS to work through the courts and in the meantime, no more Rush.
