There's plenty of clues in the game to hint that there will be another. Scarecrow's boat, the coded messages on the radio (which also point to Scarecrow), the Azrael and Hush quests which both left things hanging, and of course the pregnancy test and Harley singing. It's safe to say that they've got the formula down, and there's no reason to stop, so they'll almost certainly make another. However, a 2012 release date is even more insane than the Joker. :) It was 2 years between the last ones.
Possible release date end 2012?? That would be really soon, no? I guess if there is a new Batman game comming it will be between Q3 of 2013 and Q2 of 2014
@HDGAMINGCHANN3L if you leave arkham city at the choice of saving batman or leaving the catwoman story will end and during the credits theres a radio broadcast coming from oracle (babra gordan)
also in the beginning of the game when your in the tower harley comes at you in a cartwheel attack, but when you punch her before you do the counter she will grab to her belly.
As sad as it is, this really isn't a real game as most of you may probably already know. It's just a tease and a joke. They said that Arkham City is still on-going via DLC, not to mention it being released on the Wii U later this year. So I won't really expect any details on another Batman game this year, at all.

I expect everyone who has worked on this game has some amazing idea planned: my theory is that the child was conceived whilst Joker was ill from using the Titan- which means the child will have Titan running through their veins: it enhances strength etc- does this mean the child will develop quickly? Into a new Joker? Also I've noticed the games have elements from previous Batman shows: for example in Arkham Asylum the Titan Joker was already done in The Batman where Joker steals Bane's venom.

Whatever the name of the sequel, I doubt it would be released that early. Developing a *good* game takes time. If Rocksteady does in fact release a sequel, and I'm sure they will, it'll most likely be around the fourth quarter of 2013. We have a while lol.

@FoxCircuit101 Harley is a very underated villain. While it's true she always seemed ditzy and a bit out there, that was mainly because she didn't want to go against Mr J. There are eps of B:TAS where she leaves Joker and is quite formidable, even capturing Bats in one ep. But her love for Mr J always stopped her from achieving her full potential. Now that Mr J is gone, there is nothing to stop her from going too far. Especially if her mind is broken from his death.
There's more. Scarecrow is on the loose. So is Killer Croc. Both left the Arkham Asylum with a Titan container. Azrael tells of a dark time ahead. Lastly, Hush wants to exact revenge.

Actually, I think the main boss of the next game should be Scarecrow, with a lot of mind games and outstanding cut-scenes. Of course, there's always the possibility of Joker's son coming from the future to the present or facing Terri McGinnis Batman, but I'm sick of the Joker, at least for now. Give attention to Scarecrow, Two-Face and the Mad Hatter who could be bosses in the game. The Mad Hatter bossfight in AC wasn't that great but they could improve it... And I would love to fight Two-Face..

Don't forget that threat that Azrael talked about and the Scarecrow easter eggs. BTW, there's always the possibility that Joker never died. But that wouldn't be right. They would destroy one of the most EPIC endings in a game ever. Just one more thing... if there is another Batman game in the future, I hope they don't make Catwoman playable but Robin and Nightwing. And this time, I want to play in Gotham...

@DarkSkull1986 Well actually when you are playing Batman Arkham City, you are in Gotham. It's just a cut off peice from the citizens that are living in the other half.

Actually, I think the main boss of the next game should be Scarecrow, with a lot of mind games and outstanding cut-scenes. Of course, there's always the possibility of Joker's son coming from the future to the present or facing Terri McGinnis Batman, but I'm sick of the Joker, at least for now. Give attention to Scarecrow, Two-Face and the Mad Hatter who could be bosses in the game. The Mad Hatter bossfight in AC wasn't that great but they could improve it... And I would love to fight Two-Face..
