  • I have an 08 with stock pipes and it sounds the same. seems like a good way to blow a few hundred bucks.

  • @GwCrash Yeah probably not, I had an 08 with a stock exhaust for a day, then GYTR pipes so I would say NOT, and by the way, a few hundred bucks, You've got NO idea what ur talkin about, and before you start talkin shit, start now by SHUTIN THE FUCK UP???

    FUCKIN SQUIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blastzensey- it sounds a little bit like a MotoGP bike, but not really exactly like a MotoGP, believe me I've seen and heard the Yamaha YZR-M1 up close and holly shit that thing sounds like a fucking Le Mans Racing ZO6 Corvette. my r1 has a full M4 exhaust and its carbs are jetted, so its really loud and scares away Harleys but next to the M1 MotoGP my bike sounded like a fucking Prius.lol but man the R1 in this vid is BEAUTIFUL!

  • I'm only 5'5 height, is that enough for me to ride R1?

  • @bojanglesmeMy wife who is 5'4 can actually ride it, she is a bit tip toed in redlights but she has no problems riding it.

  • u got the thumb up from me , even before u turn that engine on .. ur bike looks sick nd sounds even sicker broh... !!!

  • Don't worrie the bike was properly warmed up prior to this

  • CROSSPLANE DAMN.... sounds like 1198

  • I hope the bike was already warm and you shut it down before the video, i hate to see people cold rev such a nice bike.

  • พัทยา

  • lol. i listened to this with my headphone and my right speaker made a funny noise when he revved the bike. anyone else got this thing happening to them?

  • thts my fav bike! great sound..

  • essa R1 ficou com som de moto bicilindrica Fail

mais en compensaçao ganhou no visual

  • Iike that a lot(*&^%$

  • you have alot of bike's that is really cool..

    congraz men! :D

  • คนไทยหรอคับ

  • รถในฝันผมเลยครับ

  • Wow, are you in Thailand?

  • @pummarit That is correct

  • @rayongracer Where in Thailand are you? And how much does Yamaha R1 cost there in Thailand?

  • @rayongracer where abouts ? I have a place in Surin, and there are no decent bikes I have seen around there !

  • oooooooh nice

  • Goodness, I hate those foreign big billboard type license plates!! Thank God I live in America!

  • This R1 sounds different from the past R1? The sound is not fluid. Could you tell me why?

  • @blastzensey It is due to the crossplane engine, it has an uneven firing of the cylinders. If you listen to it the sound is exactly like a MotoGP bike. For details on the engine read up on Yamaha or bike magazine websites for Yamaha Crossplane Engine

  • @rayongracer Anyway good bike, but I love the earlier R1.

    Saludos

  • i wanna know if this bike wheelie in 1st gear whitout the clucth help. many friens of mine said that this bike dont have much power. thanks.

  • @dgulintolentino you can very easily wheelie this bike with no clutch help, just twist and it lifts, in A mode you can do it easily in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear actually. In C mode I never tried it as that is the low output mode I only use in rain.

  • @rayongracer hay..i hav herd bout these modes in SBKs...what exactly are these "modes"ABC???

  • @rayongracer There's no such thing as a 3rd gear power wheelie on a r1, unless it is geared!

  • @cobradaddy That's weird because mine certainly does, A mode full on it lifts me, but you might have a different ECU than mine, I have no idea.

  • @rayongracer I dont have the new one, had 05 with all bolt ons and dyno tuned and still wouldnt do it. I have the more powerfull zx-10 and it wont do it in 3rd. R1's have no mid range power.

  • @dgulintolentino why the heck do you want to wheelie this R1 09? Yamaha built it to be balance on the track which means smooth power delivery. Even with the less power compare to the competitive literbikes, you have more feel on the rear when u twist throttle.

  • hey dude.. i saw a cube bike next to your R1, let me hear how it sounds.. lol

  • @indonesiago Ohh the Honda XR400R, well I sold it, had FMJ exhaust, and Wiseco 440cc big bore kit in it. So sorry I cannot record this bike anymore. I have done a vdo comparison of Ducati Monster 900 with pulled baffles, the new R1 and a HD Sportster 1200 with short shot exhaust, just for the sake of doing it, however are working now so it will be a while before I can edit and upload.

    Cheers

  • @rayongracer not that one but the one in front of it... the moped one..thats a nice contrast dude... lol... like your R1 by the way... :)

  • do you have a quick shifter on that bike?

  • @rama6maiden Hi Man at the moment of the video I did not have a quickshifter, right now it's also got the Powercommander 5, auto tune and quickshifter.

  • @rayongracer

    fuckin nice dude.

    evil bike!!

  • Black Beauty...

  • I think the Yoshimura's sound a lot better.

  • In Thailand

  • so beautiful !

  • Sounds better than most of britney spears and lady gaga's songs

  • เจ๋งๆๆ

  • KKIIIILLLEEERRRR Looks !!!!!!

  • I love yamahas, I know the crossplane crank gives it more power etc but man, I don't like the sound

  • pattaya

    ha ha ha

    love thailand

    q[^_^]p

  • Where is that plate from? What country? Nice sound bro!

  • yamaha fucked the classic 4 in line sound.... that's really sad.

  • hell yeah dude

  • wait untill 2011/12 r1 it wil be revolutionary, uptimazing the engine

    grrr

  • damn that sounds nice bro, gotta have a clip of a flyby =)

(man it must suck to have those massive number plates.)

  • The new R1 sounds different because of its new engine (big bang - crossplane) design. It must have great performance but i prefer the clasic 4 in line sound...

  • doesn't sound or look as good as akrapovic or two brothers :) still nice bike though bud

  • sounds good

  • @MilanM85 Laos, sounds pretty nice. What border will you head over? I got greenbook sorted out already on mine.

  • @rayongracer bro does the 2010 r1 come with golden wheels?thanks.

  • I live in Pattaya also are you still waiting for your green book also? I have a 2007 black R1 going on a ride to Loas next week should be awesome!

  • Sweet bike

  • As the matter of fact I have a Ducati Monster 900 as well, and the sound is different. The R1 sounds more like a V8 engine running, the Ducati well what can one say, sounds like a 90 degree V twin it actually is.

  • Sound like a Ducati from yamaha????? Sh.....t it's impossibile

  • They are not selling these in the USA, yet. Where did you get them from, I have to have them!! Pls Help!!

  • @Mnanceyzfr1 I got it from the Termi dealer in Bangkok, I will ask them and see how you can order from factory, or if there is a dealer closer to you who got them.

    Cheers

  • @rayongracer thanks for the info

  • @Mnanceyzfr1

    Jesus ¬¬

i swear just about every motor bike is unavailable in the US.

just get on shipped over from Britain :D

  • @Mnanceyzfr1

just get them imported from Britain or somewhere....

i swear nearly all motorbikes are banned from the States.

my RS125 is illegal! because its uneconomical!

but it has a 0.125L engine and most Americans drive 8L trucks!

  • may I know that in front of the motorcycle r1 yamaha honda revo?it's true ...?

  • @yoshimura15 Hi there, it's a Honda CZ-i ( my shopping bike ) and on the side it's a Honda XR 440 R for jungle riding.

  • i like it man

  • poh meu sonho e compra uma dessa pra mim vendi minha meu tio tem uma eu ando nela as vezes mais nada como a nossa propria neh

  • Still waiting on that clip showing different angles of the bike and pipe lol.

  • Sorry but have been flat out with work, hope to have it done shortly.

  • Just wanted to be different, Akra is on 80% of the R1's with aftermarket, Termi is much more rare. And when we tested the two against each other, the termis gave higher/deeper sound level.

  • @rayongracer then u made the good chose for yourself... i got carbon fiber 2 broz on mine... and it sounds just fucking awesome and it pops so loud and deep... but in terms of performance i got nothing more than the bike can give so i want to put full line akra evo 2... it s the most performing line with a good map on a R1... ARE THE STREET OK FOR RIDING THIS BIKE IN THAILAND?????

  • @zamamattiolo The Akra is awesome in performance, you can however get the akra header, Y tube from Termi or Akra and keep the silencers. The power increase is mainly in the headers. So maybe same effect for less cash? I donno.

Streets in Thailand are in high quality, up North you find amongst the best curved tours in the world. Traffic is dangerous tho, but when used to it no problem. The R1 is the best bike I had on the street here actually.

  • พี่ รถเท่ห์มากเลย

  • r-1 is 870000baht in yamaha dealer in chaingmai,but september 2009 kawasaki dealer get 650000baht for ninja^^

  • @Blastable Problem with the Ninja in Thailand is it's restricted and only yield 120 bhp. Two friends bought them and used a fortune getting them to 150 bhp (end sum more than the R1, and still not same power). The Ninja if grey imported is a great bike, but the one at the Kawa dealer in Thailand is unfortunately restricted.

I considered it as it was so cheap compared but changed my mind due to friends experience. If you buy a superbike you want a superbike. Have no idea why Kawa restrited it.

  • @rayongracer stay R1 dude, dont buy KAWA... cant compare... and it s not only about horse power... great noise tho... why didnt u put the akra line instead...???

  • @zamamattiolo well everyone got the Akra here, except me, that's why I got the Termi, it's different and I really love it after owning it for a while.

Akra rox, but to be different from the others Termi is awesome. Not a single redligth where people don't turn there heads. Maybe it's ego donno but I love it... The cops stopped me for noise, then they asked me to rev'it they let me go with a smile. The sound on the vid is NOT the same as reality, in reality it's very loud.

  • Nice bike. Can you post a video showing the exhaust at different angles. I'm interested in purchasing the same pipes but need to see it on the bike first.

    Cheers

  • I will do tomorrow give me 24 hours.

    Cheers

  • whatever people its a good bike afterall

  • Damn son! I love that sound. Shorts and short sleeves in January? lol

  • Hehe beauty of living in South East Asia, warm all year around.

  • Yeah I read on your profile that you live there. Sweet!

  • No me gustan los tubos en el colin

  • its not 2010..its 2009..2010 is all black..anyway,its great bike!

  • @EDINN2505 Check YAMAHA website.. 2010s are not just in black..

  • Noo way! crossplane R1 in thailand ???

    nice one!

  • 800000 baht ...

  • @JRVibefreak

Naw you get it far cheaper from gray import. around 700k baht actually with the Termi's, cheap it is not but compared to any car it's cheap fun with that much muscles and speed.

  • No way! you manage it to get through the customs?

I wanted to import my gixxer Sadly I sold my it last year , many thai people told me that I have to pay this stupid ridiculous tax and the crazy 80000 baht green book to get it on the road

    cheers

  • @JRVibefreak The book is from 35k to 65k depending on year and cc mate.

Sure the customs let it through easily, since Yamaha imports these bikes to Thailand it's also very easy to get them approved in Thailand so you don't need the expensive emission tests or anything else. Pretty neat, piggyback Yamaha but import from Japan.

  • Still got the Cat, the Y tube is cheap fix later. For the moment she has more than enough power for me so won't do anything more for a while.

    The Termi's cost 750 $

Hard to explain on a video clip, but from having bikes next to it of same model. The Termi is louder than Acro even with full system. That's why I got them, they are the loudest slipons we can buy where I live for the new R1. As you can see from the track the old R1 following cannot be heard until I pass, he got full Acro

  • Indeed :)

  • With cat, or without?

Btw how much did you pay for the slipons?
