Americain came to Australia in 2010 after showing pretty good form during the season in France. In fact, he had just won the G2 Prix Kergorlay prior to winning the Geelong and Melbourne Cup's. But he's not anywhere near the same horse in 2011. He's really struggled in France this season. He has only one minor listed stakes win to his credit, and finished a dismal 10th behind Jukebox Jury in this year's Prix Kergorlay. Don't really see him being a factor in this year's Melbourne Cup. JMO.

As of today Count Encosta is 19 win 5 place for Mackinnon Stakes
Put 50 each way on it. While your at it put 50 to win and 100 to place on Count Encosta in the Melbourne Cup, currently 401 win 101 place
