I love this artist , especially this kind of blues , but the main problem is that i could not find any of his albums :( damn , and may the Lord bless Mississippi , warm regards from the desert wide ( Algeria )
When Jim and I met in Los Angeles he started me onna voyage back through my roots to the blues of the Delta that I am still on today. This man was one of the musical masters of our tyme ... no questions asked
I can't tell the world how much Jim D. meant to me, or how much I loved him! He was such a beautiful gentleman -- and one of the greatest musicians who ever lived. I want to believe that I'll see him again someday. R.I.P. old friend -- God Bless you forever. Thank you for allowing me to know him. Amen.
try We Will Never Turn Back by Mavis Staples, produced by Ry Cooder. It features also her version of this song. It came out in 2007 same as Raising Sand and I liked them both, but Mavis she's in my heart

Jim Dickinson was the very last of the best of Memphis.
What a mighty vacuum he has left with his passing.

Why aren't more records made like this? Only thing that comes close is "Raising Sand"....
