    Boftekal- BUBBLES!

  • Its interesting how everyone needs a different solution

I had exactly the same problem with the black shadow box covering everything closer than 15 meters but I needed only one console command to fix it:

    r2_sun_depth_near_bias 0.0001 (default was on -0.0004)

    This fixed everything.

r2_sun_far 51 gives best shadow quality in the distance

  • type

    R2_Sun_Near 1

    value 2 works well too

    solved problem!

i only had this problem in call of pripyat. clear sky was bugless and problemless for me.

  • My problem is the inverse of this. I have win7 x64 and I have an X1950 pro (lol). I've already tried raising r2_sun_near to the max (50) but it isn't enough. Any ideas?

  • Hint:

Don't Cut and Paste the commands into CS.

Type them in or thet won't work.

  • i have the same bug on 4870 x 2 latest CCC drivers

  • Me too ATi 4850x2 now downloading latest drivers to re-install and will give the commands a go

btw does anyone elses game crash when you click the Options menu?

    on version 1.5.0.7

  • there is a console code to make it work

    i dont remember it

  • hello everybody !

    i have a big problem too .

the top of the screen is like macaroni .

    please help , thats a madness !

i cant see the top of the screen before it's merges .PLEASE HELP ME !!!that 's my problem with stalker shadow of chernobyl , but it be fixed by something .help me off please !

  • ok so whats the final actual real way simplest way to get rid of this shadow ?

  • the commands dont seem to work for me. I just copy paste it in console, it says unrecognized command. Anyone got any idea? Plz reply me:P For now I'll just embrace night and rain/thunder:P

  • the r2_sun_near 1 worked for me =)

  • Run the game, open the console with the tilda ~ key and enter these commands, with the numerical values I've given.

    R2_Sun_Near 1

    R2_Sun_Depth_Far_Bias -0.001

    R2_Sun_Tsm Off

    R2_Sun_Far 70

    R2_Sun_Focus On

Once that's done, the game will save the new values to your user.ltx file.

    You shouldn't need to restart.

  • @SadisticStang fix it, thanks

  • r2_sun_near 1 gets me rid of the box,but the shadows are indetailed as never,i think it was ok before i installed the 1.5.05 patch, please help with shadow detail if you can

  • try with one this console commands

    r2_sun_near [1.000,50.000]

    r2_sun_near_border [0.500,1.000]

dont remember well now, but I think the command is: r2_sun_near 1.

Try yourself and test witch is the best variable.
