Hi loving the vid I just bought some warriors of rohan now the colours im using for my clokes are Orkhide shade and Knarloc Green as a highlight what colours do you use on yours because they look alot better than the scheme im going with
@Cradlefan100 Those colors you have sound perfect for the job, these where painted a long time ago and as simply as i could. cloak; Gobling Green dry brushed with Bleached Bone. Dry brush very lightly a few times instead of one thick coat. Delvan Mud was painted all over to finish it off.
nice models, but here is a little note to the Rohan Shields, i know the shields are painted green and brown in the rule book, but you only see green shields in the movie
ye mines of moria are a really good deal.. it's got stuff worth at least 180 dollars but sold for 95 dollars... plus with the goblins i already got i could make a war between the goblins and the dwarves with gimli in em...to make it seem like there fighting for the caves..but making cave terrain would be hard..
Citadel Delvan Mud Wash, you can get it from gamesworkshop. like a paint only it goes into crease's and folds staying away from raised areas. I painted my rohan normal colors, dry brushed everything with Bleached Bone, then applied the Mud wash. check out one-ring. co. uk , they got some fantastic LOTR terrain in the forums, loads of mines and caves. some inspirational stuff.
Im not sure if I know what you mean...you should use a wet brush when painting, it helps the paint run more smoothly and looks nice and flat when on the miniature as appose to painting straight from the pot with heavy gooey paint that can cover details.
agreed to that man..i can paint sorta good i've got a stiff hand..hopefully i can get a mines of moria hobby set so i can get a rules book mines of moria book and some figurines and dice other junk..and then i'll play the game with my sister...i already got 24 mordor orcs...28 harad warriors, bout 14 rohan warriors, 24 dwarf rangers and i got 3 more mordor orcs with a large crossbow.
thats a lot of miniatures, are they all painted ? my brothers got about a 50+ urk army, thats why I'm beefing my rohan out. Isengard army is suppose to be as hard as nails. yeah ..that moria box set looks like a good deal, everything needed to play, the fellowship and the other minis.
These are awesome! My freinds and I play Warhammer 40000, but I wish we played Lord of the Rings too. Hopefully I'll be able to get them into it someday. Mabye I'll buy models anyway, they look that great.
I use Dark angel green then highhlight it with camoh green

you answered my question thank you..painting with wet brush is better.. i didn't realize a big goop of paint wrecks details
