Is this kind of accuracy exclusive to these Varmint models? Or can it be achieved with the cheaper Tikkas too?

@12gaugeTim I've never owned a cheap Tikka but I rekon it would be just as good as long as you use the slowest powder. For example, I was using AR2206H but you can get the same velocity using a little more of the slower AR2208. There a very reliable rifle and very accurate.

Nice video. I have shot plenty of mountain grouse with mine. The feathers go everywhere. I am loading 55 grain Berger HPs at 105% capacity. Still accurate to 250yards.

@Nariab Tikka T3 Varmint is a rifle, not an ammunition.

Google or Tube Tikka T3 for more info. Varmint model = heavy barrel and high cheek piece stock.

I have a .17 Remington but it has a low ballistic coeficient pass 200 yards or so but it shoots pretty flat and fast. How do you like the .204 Ruger?

@booker442 I loved it but I have since rebarrelled it to a .20 Tactical with a 1 in 10 faster twist. It is more accurate and uses much less powder to achieve the same velocities - only 23.2 gr. of reloader 7 and I have 3,740 fps! with a 40 grain V-Max. The 1 in 10 fast twist keeps my small 40 grain V-MAX stable out to 900 yards.
