No its a UK cast. I can't remember who Rusty was here (I saw it twice with 2 different Rusty's) but they were both British. I saw one of them in Rent in Westend in December.
I saw the show in Stockholm and it was the best event I've ever been to! I hope I will be able to see the show it's in original form someday in my life :)
I like "The Rap" from the Starlight Express Megamiz better (Are you ready for the big one starting any minute?) I feel like it fits better with the show, and it depressed me that I can still hear some of those lyrics and music in this mess
You know what? I think David Yazbek wrote the best rap I've ever heard in StEX. The first rap ("Hey, You!") sounded like "Rock Island" from the Music Man, which wasn't so good. And the second ("Ready For The Big One") sounded like what is now PaRappa The Rapper. Now this one sounds a lot more like real rap music. I like this one the best.
I have seen the original and now seen this in Canterbury...still amazing, not so much as the origninal (of course) but this was still an amazing night!
Yes I did enjoy it very much , it surpised me a lot , and I want to go and see it again. We had Matthew Krzan playing Electra ,and he was amazing!! What a great show !
Im going to see this tomorro here in Bristol,u.k.I am still not too sure what to think of it so far,and whether I will actually like it that much ,I hope I do though.
They just couldn't leave this show alone. In its original version, it was sweet and real, but it got mixed reviews, so they panicked and kept changing it to try to make it more current. And they ripped out its heart and soul and killed it. Now it's just noise and flash.
There is the TINIEST bit of 'No Comeback' still in the tour.....it takes place during the song 'Laughing Stock'...Electra sings like one line and then Pearl joins in with her "Clear my track...." part...
No, it was Kris playing Rusty in Southampton and Oliver Thornton played him in November (Rusty in the tour programme is still Oliver I believe). I'm sure Caboose was the same both times.
The only other clip was AC/DC. I wanted to take more but my camera gives off a bright display and I eventually got caught and told to put it away!
Having seen Cameron as Rusty a few times now, that's definitely not him as Rusty, so it must be Kris. Obviously, I haven't seen him as Caboose, but that sounds pretty like him to me, so I'd say it's probably Kris as Rusty and Cameron as Caboose.
lol yh Mykal Rand was in it last year i saw on the tuesday...b4 u, i would've recorded it too but i couldn't my mum caught me. Nxt time i'll go by myself so no1 can stop me lol X!

There is a permentally based production based in Germany in Bochum. Starlight unfortunately is showing no sign of revival in the west end.

Kris must have got sick after you saw it!
Shame you didn't get more but it is hard to hide a camera's display in a pitch black theare. Love this though!
ocean0explorer 4 years ago
Call me traditional, but I prefered "Hey you, Who me? Yes you Race you!" Then again, I'm used to that.
Mungojerriestar 4 years ago
No, it was Kris playing Rusty in Southampton and Oliver Thornton played him in November (Rusty in the tour programme is still Oliver I believe). I'm sure Caboose was the same both times.

shadyem 4 years ago
Shadyem when you saw it in Southampton it was probably Cameron Nielson who usually plays Caboose playing Rusty and someone else playing Caboose.
Did you get any other clips????
ocean0explorer 4 years ago
Having seen Cameron as Rusty a few times now, that's definitely not him as Rusty, so it must be Kris. Obviously, I haven't seen him as Caboose, but that sounds pretty like him to me, so I'd say it's probably Kris as Rusty and Cameron as Caboose.
