I happened upon this post while researching the 1904 World's Fair. Mr. Medler deserves several honors for the time and effort he put into his home and area. I dont know about his town but in Europe it is a great honor to restore part of history and can be celebrated with a small annual carnival. Thank you.
Yes, I also agree. It had to take a lot of sacrifice on that man to believe in his dream. I envy his fortitude and his home. I love old homes like that. They have so much personality. So much history, it is a shame to see many have gone now.
