My top 10 Original OL: A Feasibility Study, Don't Open Till Doomsday, The Forms of Things Unknown, The Sixth Finger, It Crawled Out of the Woodwork, Demon with a Glass Hand, The Inheritors, Wolf 359, The Guests, The Man Who Was Never Born
my favorite original outer limits top 10 "the 6th finger - second chance - fun & games - a feasibility study - the invisible enemy - wolf 359 - i robot - demon with a glass hand - the mice - o.b.i.t. "...i liked most of them but these are my favs
Fun and Games, The Duplicate Man, The Special One, Production and Decay of Strange Particles, A Feasibility Study, The Chameleon, The Probe, The Premonition, Expanding Human
@Great8Earthquake they redid that with david mcallum but it wasnt as good I wouldnt pick it as a favorite but the part where they say if anyone knows what happened to this town contact the athouritys is ok
@Thomas2680 nimoy was afraid of being typecast in star trek but his friend vic morrow told him if they make you up so they cant recognize you your career will survive
The giant amoeba that attacks the human at 5:16 I believe was modified and used as the Horta creature in Star Trek. also, in 7:12, the "Expanded Human" guy with the big forehead; he takes drugs to enhance his physical abilities; does this guy look much different than the steroid abusers today? Outer Limits was making a commentary about steroid use 30 years ahead of time!
Great job on all three of your Outer Limits monsters videos, however I can think of a couple you didn't show that I can remember from when I was a kid. One was the flowers that grow rapidly and sprayed some deadly toxin at people, and bled red blood.
And who could forget one of my faves, the mammoth queen bee.
Then there was the robot who saves the child at the end from being hit by a car, if you consider that a monster?
Oh that one, it was called "The Architects of Fear" where scientists think by creating a world menace (an alien created from a fellow scientist) that the world will unite in peace. One of the best episodes!
No, when the alien came out of the swamp and zapped a staionwagon was The Architects of Fear. Actually wasn't an alien but a human transformed into an alien for an experiment and the ship was off course and landed in a swamp by some hunters.
@db5astonmartin The alien was a human whose purpose was to trick the human race into believing they were being invaded so that the various nations at war would stop fighting and pull together before they destroy the planet.

In many cases, it was the HUMANS who were the monsters...and the aliens that were misunderstood.
Great tribute to an awesome show...

I watched this great show when I was a kid. How do I get to view the full-length episodes? Is there a website?

Does anyone know the name of the very first one shown here or if it's been posted?

I think it's called "The Game" or something along those lines.

Thanx! All I can remember is this thing coming out of the swamp and zapping a stationwagon (I was 5-6yrs old).

Cool, I have that one bookmarked. Love the old series....it was a family affair around the tv, sometimes in the dark back in the day.
firebrand07 3 years ago
Yeah, me too. I especially liked the short monologue at the end. The writers of that series were great.

It was "Fun And Games"...the mask was later reused in the Star Trek pilot "The Cage".

The first season of the Outer Limits was mostly incredible.
They did repeat 3 of the monsters in later episodes;most notably the Zanti ants.
