I don't understand why everyone hates Tidus.

Compared to COUNTLESS other characters in the franchise, he is an improvement, and its not like you can complain about his voice. This was the first FF to use voice acting.

I personally prefer him and Auron over Cloud and Sephiroth, and yes, I WENT THERE.

Cloud is a cliche emo kid with a big sword, as compared to Auron who has the sword, as well as an INTERESTING STORY TO TELL.

Sephiroth is another cliche rival enmy with a big sword, not much to say.

Tidus figures out 2/3's of the way through that he is a dream... NONEXISTANT.

He NEVER crys over that. Want to know why? Because he MATURED as the game proceeded, which not many people take notice on. He has to let go of everything he had come to love, and didn't shed ONE tear because of his impending fate. Over his lost father, yes, but not because of his awaiting demise.

He even gurgles and is hospitalized for a portion of the game because he is incapable of doing anything due to his mental state.

Seems a little sad, little depressing, even though that scene is entirely pointless.

I just hate this game's story from the bottom of my heart, the characters are horrible and also the leveling system just plain sucks.

Other than that, this is the first time they got the summon system absolutely right and battle system was cool.

Unfortunately it doesn't make up for the games linearity, bad story telling, annoying characters and retarded puzzels, it has.

You have no idea how happy I was when I saw this video as your next LP. I played this recently and I think it has aged really well.

Also, Dave, don't be afraid to talk a bit during cut/talk scenes. Some talk is good else it's too quiet, especially since there is a lot of talk scenes in this game. That's my opinion, but there it is. :)

I don't know about you guys but.. I always see Tidus as the homo in this group. FFXIII of course has Hope and FFVII has Sephiroth~ Todus is easily one of my favorite characters in the entire series.. Agreed. Good art. Loved the combat system. Thought the pacing was great and wasn't bogged down by exposition (which is a good and bad thing because it's part of what hurts the story).

From a narrative standpoint it's quite poor. The universe is interesting enough but it's not explained well enough to make people care. I feel that XIII doesn't deserve all the hate it get, but I can see why people get enraged by it considering how amazing the classics were.

Yes, yes yes! Not only are you doing this LP which should be entertaining, but you're not uploading it in 10-15 min segments. I hate it when people do that and only release one video a day. In a game like this where you can go an hour or more without action sometimes, it's stupid to do that.
