Very good keyboard you said? I want to conntradict you my friend. Even now typing this comment from an HP Pavilion DM4 I had to correct it twice for skipped letters. @iamowe1992 zetnet just gave you a link where you can check allot of others have the same problem. I guess you're lucky or have some new keyboard version or keyoard drivers

go to shopping.hp.com (for usa peeps only) and search up dm4t and customize it to i5 processor and just to down the scrolling thing above the laptop and you should see keyboard and select backlight. Sadly i3 processor can't run the backlight (not sure why =_+?

@kitkat39 it is decent for video editing, reason i say this is because the processor i5 is good for it but not entirely sure about the graphics card... but it should do the job of rendering in a good amount of time

@kitkat39 Well I wouldn't choose a dm4 for Video editing.

A. It it only 14" which is okay if you go around editing. but i like editing with a 15.6" or 17.3" laptop

B.The processor isn't the best for editing. (depends on how you customize it)

But overall those are the only cons since the hard drive has 640GB =D

Nice review, both parts. I have a couple questions though. During the Windows Experience Rating part at 5:47, it shows 4.2... what is that out of? Also, although I don't have it, but am considering purchasing it, I've heard rumors about the keyboard being painful to use, is that true? And third, is the computer good for running gaming programs such as MW3 or other similar games?

Great review, the same as the forst part. Have got this laptop for over a year, very satisfied. Can not agree on touchpad. I think it is very good that HP got rid of the buttons and made it one nice big touchpad. Personally I never use the left button, you can always click by tapping. However, it is an issue of habbit. Overall, very good laptop and very good review.

@angelprince09 my previous laptop HP dv4 lasted me for 3 years and that one was refurbished, the only problem with it is that the screen flickers now, I think HP laptops are good and durable

My version of the dm4 (the 2070) has dedicated buttons on the trackpad. the trackpad still sucks though. my only complaint.

@daniel151994 In the beginning it is hard but if you use this as your main laptop then you will eventually get used to it, as for me this is not my laptop (my dads) so when i do use it it is a pain but not as tedious as how I used it in the beginning

If you use the webcam often, I would say go for the Dell because I heard that it has a HD webcam. The webcam on dm4(I own one) just sucks. Kinda.

However, the dm4 has a pretty good battery life. Mine lasts for about 2 and a half hours watching some anime. Also, the dm4 is much lighter then the Dell, the dm4 being about 2kg/4lb while the dell is around 2.6kg/6lb. I can't really tell you performance wise because I don't own a Dell, but I would say that the dm4 is a cool laptop overall.

@akshay111996 yea its standard fit for gaming... like not all games such as cod you can put the settings to the highest and still play fluidly but to just have the games on standard graphics then yea you can play well, and i think an i5 processor can handle the games.

@rajinirulez There is bluetooth but there is no toggle switch on the laptop itself, it is configured by enabling it in the laptop when it is on, the dm4 is a 14 in while the dv6 is a 16 inch, not sure the size of the macbook but yea, the number at the end of each model is just the size, so like dm4 =14in

with laptop u use it for traveling so i believe there should be a sufficient mouse pad, there are some who don't bring a mouse when they travel. Hope that answered all your questions
