You guys ask yourselves how ppl can do this to children. I dont know of one case in which the Abuser himself/herself did not have multipla or any degree of child abuse. Its a vicious and impulsive cycle that get passed on from generation to generation. The reality is unavoidable, there will always be abuse, but the other reality is we have the choice to stop it. Hey, I was abused when I was a child. I developed a few minor mental problems and babysat for Kenny who did enjoy my visits. It was only after he was told that it was wrong that he slightly veered off the rails, although he is back on track and comes to visit me. I am doing a course so i can stop this sort of thing happening and when not working i want to work with children who have been found too late and help them get back on track but what would be better is if we could put a stop to it once and for all these are vunerable kids who have rights in this world and they are being taken away. My Dad tried to kill mewhen I was 6, he smashed the back of my head into a radiator and it knocked me out. When I woke up my Dad had a gun to my face but the police arrived and put him in jail. Being a product myself of multiple forms, it sucks.
Calling the cops never helped, they'd write a report and never follow through. ever. I remember being 7 yrs old and wishing I could just die. I still battle with a lot of residing problems I've got, and I haven't seen one of the abusers in almost 10 yrs(the other, a sibling.. no one knows about)
and the fact that chances are you will search for that situation in future relationships. it is comfortable to theperson.

He attempted to kill himself 3 or 4 times before we met, he used to cut himself. He told me after we'd been dating for a month. He thought it was normal what she did and said. Hey, I was abused when I was a child. I developed a few minor mental problems and babysat for Kenny who did enjoy my visits. It was only after he was told that it was wrong that he slightly veered off the rails, although he is back on track and comes to visit me. its funny how you say sick because if someones sick you make them better and cure them. but jail is a quarantine not a cure. no doubt the mans sick but your only working for the system because you have a grudge. try helping the SICK not throwing them in a dark room where people wont ever see them again.

There is no "curing" someone who could abuse another person, especially a child. If you could cause pain to a child, physical abuse a child, put bruises on a child, intentionally hurt a child. There IS NO CURE for you. Something is wrong that cannot be fixed.

me too, I am so petrified of all adult males that its hard to work with them. I get so terrified that I yell as if to protect myself. My bosses think that I am a bad worker for that :( . I do have 1 boss there that I go to for support and is trying to help me still work there.

If we don't get help - there is a very high chance that we will repeat the cycle of violence. I know it is intense pain, but I used EFT, and "The Journey", and other techniques to clear my pain and it helps. No one truely wants to live in fear. LET IT OUT - we love you, and have so much tolerance, love and acceptance for you... If you don't address it now, you will in your next life time! LOVE TO EVERYONE - I know it's hard.....

My foster mother used to throw me about the room by the hair and ears until they both bled, and hit my head over and over, and then force bar of soap in my mouth, and then drown me repeatedly in a cold bath, holding me under. I was five. Now I am 45 and have started police proceedings. But it's been a secret all this time, and has destroyed my life. Love Edward. I am a channel for Mother Mary and she helps me.
