I like this song because it tells a story. Now, I like reading books because it gives me a perspective of other people and the the things they have experienced; in that same way do I like this song. It just calmly and evenly tells the story of a grown woman who increduously finds herself suddenly the subject of the heartbreaking prose she had skillfully but nonchalantly sung before. (sigh).

Hi Candi, my dad was Arlen Fields, from The Colony, AL. I was so shy when you visited our home in the late 70s. (you probably don't remember). We always play and sing your songs around the house. "Victim" and "When You Wake Up Tomorrow" are my JAMS! I can't believe I've never seen this video!

i use to see this girl on the way to work every day , i was so into her and always looked forward to seeing her on the platform on the train station , all we would say is hi and bye until i finally got the nerve to step it up, well she didnt turn out to be the girl i expected her to be. so disappointing, im a victim lol.
