One may not particularly like her voice, but someone had to find it high enough quality to represent her. That's what makes singing one of the hardest professions, because it is so personal.

I saw her last night sing this aria in the Royal Opera House's latest production and I'm sorry to say I physically cringed. Listen to Margaret Marshall's version instead - that is how it is supposed to sound.

furchtbar! intonation ist ein graus! schon der zweite ton ist unsauber, beim folgenden aufgang ist jeder ton von unten angeschliffen, d.h. wird erst zu tief getroffen und dann nach oben korrigiert. unglaublich, dass sowas ein tonstudio verlässt!
