I do not understand why this singer receives so many nasty comments. Is there some kind of vendetta going on? The singing is not bad at all, in fact quite the opposite.
One may not particularly like her voice, but someone had to find it high enough quality to represent her. That's what makes singing one of the hardest professions, because it is so personal.
I saw her last night sing this aria in the Royal Opera House's latest production and I'm sorry to say I physically cringed. Listen to Margaret Marshall's version instead - that is how it is supposed to sound.

It is a 1/2 step low because this a "period" instrument orchestra playing at a= 430 instead of a=440.
Not a huge fan of the singing, but I like quite like the photo.

probably one of the worst vocal recording that I have ever heard. She is even worse in the live Figaro with Jacobs.
