"On Golden Pond" The first VHS tape I ever owned. It was a Christmas gift from my wife, when they cost in the $70 range. We had seen it together in the theater and her thoughtfulness of resharing that experience brought me to tears.

Toured Squam Lake in New Hampshire, where the movie was filmed, on the pontoon boat the crews used during production. The small town of Holderness was so precious.

i don't know when exactly in the past but i believe my mother still were heavier fragile in the illness of Diabetes. Maybe between 1986 and 1987 i found this movie in the local Library of Leverkusen, watched in in teary moods of sorrows ... of the knowledge my mother maybe never has the luck to grow as old as my father.

But exactly this movie gave me strength to survive every tearing moods after my mothers death.

Sorry I don't know tommy fleming... This is a Beth Neilson Chapman song, written by her regarding the loss of her beloved husband, Earnest, who died of Lymphoma. She has written a myriad of wonderful songs, many recorded by artists such as Faith Hill (This Kiss), Martina McBride (Happy Girl), Trisha Yearwood (Down on My Knees). This is from her CD by the same title "sand and water". You should check out "Seven Shades of Blue" duet with Michael McDonald. Amazing.

I love Jane Fonda when she's serious in her work and in her feelings... In my opinion, On Golden Pond is her best movie. I love the meeting between the great Katherin Hepburn and Henri Fonda. This movie is very-very touching and it's one of all my life's favorites.

It brings back great memories including me listening to them discussing how they loved the movie and complaining about the cussing. :) It's also very special because it was the last movie Jane did with her father before he died.
