Just a question. I have heard different stories on how long an intuos3 pen nib lasts. How long do your nibs last? I want to buy one, but I can't afford to buy new nibs every month like my bamboo tablet now.
I have a general question...if your tablet represents the screen area, when you zoom in, is it the same area? So only what's on the screen corresponds to the tablet (eg you're not making much wider strokes when zoomed in). It didn't look like it.
i meen can you draw as good with a pencil on paper as with a wacom on your pc?
becaus i don't wonna spend a lot of money when it doesn't work verry well. so my question is, is it as good as a normal pencil on paper or do you need some training for it do draw as well?
I have my Wacon Intuos 3 for 1 year. It's great, but it demands practice. The more you experience the tools, the better you get. I recommend to buy one bigger than this one show in this video. . .
I just have one question, I am just a hobby painter, I am interested in buying a tablet, what big difference does it make if I buy Wacom Bamboo instead of Wacom Intuos3 tablets? All I want is to paint in photoshop freely.......
for hobby-painter, the bamboo is a good choice, cause it's way cheaper.
if you going to use a digitizer professional, then you have to buy the intuos, cause it's way more precise. it's THE coice of professionals. and cintiq is high-end stuff, but also high-end in price.
Thanks for replying!!! Intuos 3 is very attractive, but Bamboo is cheap and I am not a professionalist. May be I can start with Bamboo, and after some time i can think about updating it with intuos.
intuos3 tablets are much better quality than bamboo, which are good though but intuos3 feel way better. i just switched from a bamboo to a intuos3 and i love it :D !!
If it's widescreen, the 6x11. Normal ratio, get the 6x8, it's plenty. I have the 9x12 and it's almost too much sometimes. You can find a lightly used Intuos3 6x8" for just over $200 on ebay.
so i bought a Wacom Intous -the 350$ one- and i was just wondering if it comes with adobe photoshop cs3?? its just odd that i got a weird program very similar to photoshop, but its not cs3!! im confused! can someone tell me if you have to buy the cs3 one??? ahh
lol, thats not Photoshop, thats Elements, photoshop is like $500 or with the CS Suite for about $1300... and the suite comes with Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, inDesign, etc!
i was working on a music store, and one day a kid came in with his mom, he bought a Record player, like $500, one hour later he came back, he said: "Do i need something else, it doesnt work!!!" we said: "well, you need Records!" it always happens!
with the proper software you can use it for drawing, writing, advanced audio editing, video editing... it's an input device as any other, mice are more than pointers and keyboards are more than text.
the cintiq are lcd and you can see what you are drawing in the tablet, and the program u r using are visible to, i want that one, but it's to expensive ^^"

Why won't my mouse or pen show up in the tools list in the control panel? I have the latest driver and all I can do is use the side buttons.

I have one and hate it, it's like trying to draw on a piece of glass. Only taping a piece of paper on top helps, but it looks terrible...sigh

can you draw realy exact with it?
im a litle bit worried its not that exact?

riotribunal 2 years ago
so what size would you recommend?
gifventje 2 years ago
The video shows A6 which is really small.
The A4 is the usual size you get used to with paper but in case of the sides, its bigger, so you could get space problems on your table.
I reccomend A5 (which should be medium if there a no numbers)

@gifventje well all you need is to train on your drawing skills =]

Well, a buddy of mine is an illustrator, and he didn't like the Bamboo. I lent him my Intous3 and he tells me it's WAY better.

isnt it very hard to use that? cuz on the tablet itself u cant see wat u r drawing. or does it just become like a sixth sense?
cuz i am getting a tablet for christmas and i am super exited and i am pretty sure i want the "Wacom Intuos 3"
if there are any better ones can u inform me please
thanks !
Mofizzle456 3 years ago
Your best option would be a Cintiq model, but they start at around $1000 for the 12" version.
Do you watch your mouse when you use it? Probably not, and this is the same thing. I found not looking at my pen became natural pretty quickly.
jasonprini 3 years ago
Thanks!
but what does the Cintiq model have to offer that the intous3 doesn't???
Mofizzle456 3 years ago
The drawing surface has an LCD under it. It's like a tablet computer, it's both a screen and a pen tablet. Just search for Wacom Cintiq.

thanks for the info :D

wait, you are giving out advice, but, you dont know how to draw!

pahoto 3 years ago
Hey, how long did it take you to get used to drawing so that it was accurate?
nulyak13 3 years ago
About 10 minutes. It's pretty natural.
jasonprini 3 years ago
Was that just using it the first time? I'm seriously considering this as a must have for Christmas so I wanted to know.
It looks great! The guy at the Apple store said it was very realistic if you were good. I seriously didn't want the kiddy Wacom version. :D!
nulyak13 3 years ago
the kiddy "WACOM" version?
you meen bamboo?
