Changes look well done and nice, I personally am not a huge fan, but that's just because I am one of those weird people who loved the depressing Scourge overrun aura the old ones have/had. However, my opinion aside, going by what Blizz was intending, it's looking really good so far.

Now lets fast forward to when that player is lvling in Icecrown. Sooo the zones are changed, but will the game still be the same as it is now? Currently people can level to 80 without having to set foot in over 50% of current zones. Hell, 50% is probably a low figure since you can level with minimal questing. Heirloom items, easy gold and free badges make wow a no brainer anymore. You'd be surprised how many 'geared' level 80's don't even know where Shadow Moon Valley is. I wish Cataclysm would put an end to making this game so damn easy...Oh well.

@traukid1 Four more: Blade edge mountains, Netherstorm, Zangarmarsh and Terorkkar forrest. The way the game is now, you can pretty much skip most of those places, you can do Hellfire quests, run some random dungeons to level even more, then head into terokkar, totally skipping Zangarmarsh. Like I said, you can skip so much in this game it's not even funny.

Its strange to imagine all of the future wow players leveling in this zone at level 35, maybe never knowing of the way it used to look and that it used to be a higher level zone. Its sort of depressing that the old zones will be forever changed, but at the same time kind of makes me happy that I am a part of the older generation of wow players who will be able to remember the old world the way it used to be.

that being said, the western plaugelands don't meet the standards that the other new zones set, imo. it's an improvement, but not a great one. i also don't like the feel of it, overall i think blizzard is putting way too many fucking trees into WoW. desolace and plaugelands are greeny? un'goro and stranglethorn aren't getting a huge upgrade? the barrens are beginning to grow life? the balance isn't there anymore
