I watched your tour of a geeks desk january of 2010, And i was really inspired, im abut to get a new room and desk, and your idea rocks. PS your duelscreen setup also rocks!
I do agree on the 16:10 thing. That is really cheap for that monitor. Could just replace my old Ultrasharp 1905fp. (With the strand that could turn 90 Degrees!) I would like the exact same monitors but my BenQ was sadly only in limited production I believe :(. Oh and DVI FTW ! I hate having to recalibrate my vga monitor all the time...
Great Video. I like the Dell monitors, but they won't really match my white iMac very well. Have you thought of placing the Mac Pro behind the monitors?
I'm the same, I live by 16:10 in my computing. 16:9's always felt right for viewing TV or movies, but it doesn't sit quite right for my workflow either. :D Awesome setup!
One idea would be to get a 30" one then use the 2 20" ones in portrait on either side. If they're designed anything like the old Cinema Displays they'll fit absolutely perfectly together in such a set up. 30" is obviously more expensive, but they're amazing for the kind of stuff you do.
Nice! I must say I do like the Dell monitors. I mean I know they're mostly made by Samsung. But I wonder if they're made to stricter specs. They seem so damn reliable! We have tons of these at work. Old used clunkers that have been beat up with scuffs and scratches and are all like 5 years old but still all work perfectly! Yet most of the Acers, LG's and such that are the same age have issues. My Dell 1907FP is getting on 5 years of age now too and still works absolutist perfect!
You'll be like
Well a third one would be nice ...
Hmmm four would probably top it...
Six sceens would be epic ..

@ItsMyNaturalColour and @eschofield1 - doesn't DVI have better shielding than HDMI as well?

I've got a couple of these monitors too, both connected through DVI, I love their style, great value and ergonomics. :)

16:9 monitors are cheaper to make as they can make more out of a single piece.
