  • Hello Guys, I was with the 71st. in '67-68, then to the 123rd Warlords Aeroscouts '68 - '69. I am now sitting here with tears in my eyes. Long time ago and still can't believe it happend. Welcome Home guys, thanks for the memories!! Everyday, no matter how bad since then, has been a piece of cake. I have an airsoft M-60, complete with belt ammo, hanging over my fireplace!!

  • @jgviolante Welcome Home!

  • thats a great video

  • Amazing pics! I have the honor to command an army unit that still flies the UH-1 and I've loved having them. The Hueys will leave our unit soon but they'll never be forgotten.

  • @apacheguy34 Thanks for comment.Best to you during your service.

  • UH-1

  • This made me think of one of the neighborhood kids, haven't thought about this is decades. I am ashamed that I can no longer find his grave but the years haven't been kind to me.

  • Outstanding! Alabama, Bravo Company, 2/1 Bn. 196th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division. Republic Vietnam, 1970-71

  • back in early 90ties many of this hueys were brought to mexico to help in war against narcotraffic, meny of them were still original even with bullet inpacts, they were few days in old qro civilian air port, probably being fixed, some still beared knife made messages-mostly epitaphs from wounded soldiers saying bye to their loved ones-i`m not a believer but i felt some kind of strange energy when those helicopters departed may be soldiers energy is still there!i hope they are ok where ever they are!

  • The Huey is my Heli ..

For those , like me who wants the song, it's " A River Underground " from the band " Antler "

  • I was with C co 1/52 198 in nam and wounded and saved by a medical helo, those are some brave mfs. anyone that disputes that is a commie fing fag!!! thanks flying angels.... Rex from Detroit.

  • the fkn politicians made us lost this war, they didnt allow the armies to fight like they shoulve fk the policticans they only care about rellections or fame, fk the politicians

  • I don't know the #s of downed Hueys. However you can bet your sweet arse that there were many many many VC and NVA KIA because of them!!! That is in the past. Let it go.

  • @JABrooksC321 hey go to dustoff.org look at how many ofmy buddys were lost in vietnam just dustoff units we have the ones lost in battle over there we will not forget them we post their names an units if you have any one that wants to find out eagle dustoff crewchief

  • 5000 helicopters like this were shot down in Vn war ................

  • Comment removed

  • @1992trung I would like to know where you got your numbers from there, it appears you were not even half right. This was the highest casualty rate of any Nam machine but....

But the cost of the helicopter war was high: The Army lost 2,249 to hostile fire—more than half of them Hueys—and 2,075 to accidents; the Marines lost 424 to all causes Hostile fire bot 2k or so. I know you are probably from the other side but not all lost were shot down. Your numbers are false.

  • Okay, what one turd is going around thumbs downing every huey vid? If you have nothing good to say then just keep your thumbs up your arse. Thank You for your Service.

  • Some of the pics I took! F-Troop '68

  • @luapddot Thanks. I give credit to photos from others I used in the description. Thanks for your service.

  • Not sure of song title. I had to pick it from the list they allow.

  • name of the song plz

  • pls that is the name of his song

  • Yes I agree. All men and women who have served,in all branches, all wars are the greatest of their own greerations! Remember to thank a solder or a veteran you know.

  • Whoever coined the term "Greatest Generation" had a good idea, but misused it. There is nothing different with the men who went to Vietnam than those who went to Guadalcanal or Normandy.

Vietnam Vets: Thank you for taking so much of your life to defend freedom abroad.

  • how rare would it be to find a huey pilots helmet which has fully working wires ?

  • In 1966/67/68 my dad was a crew chief/door gunner in Ton Son Nhut and Cu CHI with the Huey units, Razorbacks and Deans 120th Aviation Batallion. He said everybody knew the Razorbacks. Any video on them? He came there from Fort Bragg-Simmons Army airfield. 82nd Aviation Batallion.Sgt. Wilson McCormick. e-mail me at nationwidemike@att.net Thanks to all helo vets!

    thanks

  • Great video. Thanks. We didn't lose the WAR, the Kennedy-Johnson and their think tank F***ed up...and the ppl safe back home had no WILL to win a WAR....

Those who served had the will and firepower to WIN it.

Duty, Honor, Country. Few in the USA today understand those words.

  • @Micaiah2004 once the desiosion was made to fight the politicians shoulda got out of the way and let our boys fight to win insteada fighting to not lose
