how can I use a solenoid to activate a HHO generator since the direct current coming out from the battery is too much upon that generator?

If I got it, u0 is the magnetic permitivity of void, if you insert a ferromagnetic material such as iron, you would change that constant and rise it of some order of magnitude. Ferromagnets might be seen as "magnetic field amplifiers".

very nice explanation. Is the field strength B=u0NIr, where u0 is permitivity constant? And what's the deal with inserting an iron bar into the wire?
