Look around in shops like princess auto, I know they have some, and look online for rare earth magnets, I know there are neodyium magnets or something but i'm not sure if it's the same thing, just look for rare earth magnets

I did something similar.. I got one on a carport door and we had to first use a special hard plastic crowbar to lift it a bit and then slide several sheets under, tie them to my car and pull.. Eventually it came off but we tore several sheets trying. Crazy thing could probably carry 15 bikes.

The magnetic field depth grows with the length of the magnet, and the strength of the magnet is determined by overall size and material, but mainly the width. This is why cylinders will have a very deep field and affect things from far away, while discs will have a strong hold but not a huge field. The quality of the material itself is usually expressed in N#. N38 is standard rare earth, N52 is some of the very strongest. N48 is the usual max. for widely available magnets.
