  • Console version of 3s allows more combos. 2:08 combo wouldn't work on Arcade version because you can't follow up after LK charge elbow if its used as a 2nd juggle.

  • Nope. SF IV takes place in between SF II and III, so there wouldn't be any way to explain his presence.

  • Between SFI and SFII. Bison(Dictator) dies after SFII.

  • There was a retcon that somehow explained that Bison survived Gouki's Raging Demon.

  • Like MVC2 and CVS2 This game is a Classic It Would be Awesome If they released this for PS3 and 360 as an online game to buy. I still play this game today after work at the Arcade with my buddies even though we have the Home Version lol.

  • well they did as in a Anniv Collection. i still play on 360 but there is no one alive online. Its a pitty because im probably one of the many few who still thinks this SF cant be topped..not even 4.

    You're talking about two different games with the only real thing in common is the storyline and characters.

    Street Fighter 4 plays more like 2 than anything else. It's nothing like 3rd strike really...

    certainly IV tries to entertain both the SFII (less refined) and SFIIITS (more refined) audiences

    so one could say its like 3rd strike a bit dumbed down but with more matchups

    i love SSFIV but 3rd strike sustains my interest for longer because its more complex

  • I think they did that for a reason. Street Fighter III is very similar to Street Fighter EX where a special move can be canceled into a Super Art. If they allow more than one Super Art per match then there would be the added possibility of joining one Super Art to another (just like System Direction in Third Strike), which makes Street Fighter III NO DIFFERENT than Street Fighter EX.

    And that is something they don't want to achieve. They want Street Fighter III to be more distinct.

  • The combos are awesome. Sure, you will probably never connect any of these (except the Ibuki one... poor girl). But they are still impressive, nonetheless.

  • I know. What i'm saying is good luck. IMHO the years I have been playing Sf3 from NG to 3S its not about the combos themselves but, as was said earlier the setup.

  • That's the entire point. Anyone can do the frequently used combos in this game easily with a little training. Hell, Alex's bread n' butter is close MK->light flash chop. Can't get more simple than that. The point of these kind of vids is to take a look at the engine and see all the crazy stuff they can get away with if they set up the circumstances just right.

  • What's wrong with you guys? It doesn't matter whether these combos will help you or not. I mean. I know he is using the stun gauge to cheat most of his juggles. He isn't there to help you with your game, he is there to show you what is possible with this game. Honestly.

  • Comparing these combos to Daigo vs Justin shows a lack of understanding of SF3. Most of the combos in these KYSG videos involve multiple instances of links within a few frames, or one frame. None of them can be reliably done by a human and they certainly not match practical. That's why they were done with a programmable controller.

    Learning to parry chun li's super is nothing compared to this in terms of execution.

  • There's a good/valid reason for what people say about the lack of humanity in these combos. It's a lot to say but I will say that there's a big difference between a recreational combo video and saving your ass while kicking another.

  • I suggest you guys watch Tourney vids like EVO to see whats practical, these combo videos are more for eyecandy and fun and I've got some really nice combos from them, not entire strings but portions of it really helped my game.

  • If you actually new anything, then you would know that he uses a program stick to get perfect frame timing, like SaBr322 stated. A human is not capable of such perfect timing, considering its refresh rate is 60 frames per second, 'do the maths, nob head.' This is impossible especially under match conditions. So 'Parshnips' you are the 'clueless twat' for buzzin off this shit. Eyecandy and nothing else.

  • combos are 100% real. kysg is a famed combo movie creator. most combos that are just damn near impossible for a human cuz of absolute precision and perfection is needed. hence the need of a program stick to get perfect frame timing

  • Hihihi. Actually, there is no system direction. This has been discussed before on forums, but kysg's combos are "real" in so far as no system direction is concerned. He does use a programmable pad and many of his combos begin with character in stun which helps you break the six-hit juggle limit. Can read more about this at srk.
