  • Maybe the best rendition of this song. Far better than Sinatra's. But listen to Brenda Lee's version which is almost as good and maybe even better.

  • かっこ良すぎて涙出る♪

  • Beautiful beautiful music!!!

  • stevie and tony need to hurry up and record that jazz album that all the fans want to hear...!

  • El que mas me gusta de los nuevayores.

  • @MusicLoverBrian1 well said.

  • many thanks my friend for this but I have to admit to still prefer Doris Day

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG

  • im 26 but i love this old school songs i think they are better than the trash music we got today

  • @MrLamaravilla25

It's songs and lyrics like this that will last and endure longer then the music of today with it's crappy lyrics. Today's music is like bubble gum. You chew it for a bit and it has a sweet flavor then when it loses its flavor you spit it out—It is worthless and of no value anymore. The music of today may be catchy and popular at the moment but overtime it won't last. Songs like "Fly Me To the Moon" is PURE GOLD and never loses its flavor and taste.

  • Much prefer his version of this song, as well as of "The way you look tonight", to the swing-y versions of Frank Sinatra. Tony Bennett puts a lot more emotion in his singing IMO.

  • @alyoucha I agree. Sometimes Francis Albert can sound more affected than natural.

  • @dnash27 Nobody EVER put more emotion into music the Frank…..You sound stupid!

  • 私の一番好きな“FLY ME TO THE MOON ”・トニー・ベネット・このピアノもラルフ・シャノンだったか?・トニーのイイ相棒だった #jazzm

  • This gets better and better as I listen to it. Superclassic. Its like being catapulted to the stars. He sings so personally. If a singer can be delicious he is.Thankyou.

  • exquisite.

  • best version

  • As my father will attest to 'his' music.....this is good belly rubbin music. I'm pushing 50 next week, my father in his 70's. And then we have the wonderful full of class Mr. Tony Bennett..........

I saw him on Feb. 5 2011 at the Wang theatre in Boston. Unbelievable. Incredible.

Funny, everywhere I go this is glued to my mind. Not sure what the reviews have said of him singing this proudly, but the sound system was turned off. Everyone got quiet (with the exception of a drunk bitch) FAB!

  • Bloody hell!!!! WOW!! Beautiful!!

  • Hell Yeah...lol

  • never over sings like many do...just lets it flow ...great!

  • esperamos voCe no RIO DE JANEIRO

  • Mr Bennett my favourite singer in the 60's and 70's, I saw him at every concert in London and this song will be my all time favourite.

  • 10-12 years ago Tony took requests on a Valentines Day concert on one of the cable channels.

  • @crossbronx63 oh yh i believe i watched that

  • Gracias a Tony Bennet tenemos una voz ,la mejor, que nos acompaña siempre que queramos en nuestros sueños de amor y ternura...es un lujo de elegancia incomparable.

  • @ ira1964 I think it was Felicia Sanders who first sang this song

  • @tankerboy32 thank you

  • @tankerboy32 nope

  • Who can tell me who was the first singer of this song? It's really fantastic!!!!

  • that would be Frank Sinatra i think

  • i just know this song because of you're beautiful..

  • SIMPLY A BEAUTIFUL SONG!! MY FAVORITE VERSION. REACHES YOUR SOUL.

  • For me and all my friends

  • This is my favorite version of this song..What a voice!

  • Happy 84th birthday Tony, thank you for the gift you've given us.

  • tony singin like he feelin dat thang.....

this how you make love to a woman....

just slip on some tony or frank and it's on.......

    lol.......

  • i like bennett's version .

    beautiful music

  • Wow...the range of his voice is perfect. Tony Bennett is the best!

  • WOOOOOOWWWWWWW......DUDE IS AWESOME....

  • love it :)

  • There are very few Frank Sinatra standards, that have been sung better by other artists, but this is one of them!

  • My marriage song...

  • beautiful voice with wonderful jazz makes me cry !!!!.

  • I love him all the more because, like my grandfather, he was an unsung hero in World War II. He survived it and returned to continue to create himself as an artist. I hope he's going strong for another 50 years. Thank you Tony Bennett, for showing us how to live life.

  • An absolutely stunning performance from a peerless performer

  • nat king cole also sung dis

  • Tony is the master, one of the best singer in the business.

  • Those who say that this version is nice should listen to the one by Nat King Cole, which is also found on Youtube...

  • Antonio Benedetto

  • Tony Bennett is truly a song stylist. He interprets every word and every note with such incredible emotion. And at the age of 83 he still has a remarkable voice!

  • @NickBrounoff

    Tony is built to last!

  • Fly me to the moon...so very pretty...thank you :)

  • this song just puts me at such peace...

  • Awesome !!

  • the thing is that Sinatra's voice left him at a fairly early age. It seems as though Tony's voice has almost gotten better, if that could be possible.

And Sammy Davis, Jr. ? I don't think so,,but to each his own.

  • Tony is one of The Worlds best Musics Treasures and the best of luck to him.

  • Velvety!!!

  • SUBLIME!!! DIVINE!!! ETHEREAL!!!

  • I agree................

  • see, this guy has a voice so he doesn't need to jump around on stage or wear outlandish costumes or have over the top sets to distract you from the fact that he really can't sing.

    Are you listening Taylor Swift?

  • you are right the crap we have today would emberass the likes of mr. bennett, sinatra, cole, and the many others who were true musicians. today all we have is lil gimmicky/catchy one minute memory songs. :/.. while these gold classics are in the shelves collecting dust :(

  • @mmmodafoca

    Add Sammy Davis Jr.

  • @mmmodafoca Hey I would like to remind you that Tony Bennett is alive. lol. He's not dead. Yeah and it probably does embarrass him. But once again he is alive. I have pictures with him.

  • this song is alright and even though this may be rated badly i mean no disrespect but i am a 13 and i just simply like Nat King Cole's better

  • oh but mr. frank sinatra was wayy better (when singing this song) but i mean as young people we have to admit that these goliaths of true music are and will always be better than tha crap your and my generation is producing.

  • I love it! Merci Monsieur Bennett!!

  • never thought that i would like a song like this or even listen and dance and enjoy music like this bein my age and look but i absolutely love this song... dramatically peaceful and mesmerizing :D

  • @babynhh There's always room for growth! Great control of his voice.

  • @babynhh I'm in my 20s too, if you actually explore swing you'll find many more beautiful songs like this that will leave you mesmerized. Eventually you'll get bored of modern day singers like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, etc. These guys were the true artists. Beautiful voices, the ability to convey emotion, style, the lyrics actually meant something &aren't made up bs like today, etc. This is when music meant something. In fact based on this song I'll send a few more songs to your inbox to check out :)

  • @FrankRocko Actually i dn't mean to sound like an ass but gaga's lyrics all mean something the song's on top seem cheesy aand stereotypical of todays pop music but the lyrics are much deeper being littered with metphors and quoted memories from her life;Tony Bennett sees the artistry in her and to comparing Lady Gaga to rhianna is like comparing gold to bronze, Rhianna really is just catchy music where as gaga puts thatre into her performences and chaaracter and emotion in her lyrics.

  • @GezzaOhagan yeah right, keep telling yourself that. All she does is sell music through lunacy and sex. She sexualises children, tries to promote herself by insulting people's religious beliefs, performs sex acts live at her concerts, etc. she's essentially a prostitute that sings, Tony Bennett has too much class to be sharing a stage with her

  • @GezzaOhagan STFU and let us enjoy some real music please..

  • I saw Tony perform last october in Belo Horizonte, Brasil and he was amazing!!! The outmost respect for a guy his age performing and singing the way he does...

He is a living legend !!

  • I always love Mr. Bennett's renditions for their unadulterated musicianship - piano, drums, bass, sax solo and some light strings. This is the ultimate talent. I can only imitate his style and pretend. Romance at it's best.

  • i so love this song, i discover it back in 2002, and i still have yet to dance to it.

  • When Tony sings a song, that's the ultimate, no can sing better or make a better version.

  • tony bennet is a badass!

  • why?

  • ah dude, read up, some of the stuff this guy has done ... check it out

  • While this is a great song, but I feel some of you aren't giving Frank Sinatra any respect They are both great versions, good in their own ways. Don't judge one over the other.

  • Nat King Cole's and Dinah Washington's version is better than that of Sinatra and Bennett.

  • Comment removed

  • I always thought he was one of the finest singers of his generation and many that have followed. Effortless and artistic, he has brought standards to many people who would have never listened. The composition of the song is just so finely crafted that I find myself singing it on those good days that hold no responsibility.

  • He was the singers singer. Sinatra and other greats adored him but then there was Nat King Cole who was black a fly in the ointment I guess.

  • He is great.

  • Tony Bennett is probably one of the FEW who can recreate a Frank Sinatra song so sweetly and so well. God Bless Tony, and rest in peace, Frank :)

  • NO, I ment to give a thumbs up! sorry. I totally agree....

  • hate to tell you but it's not a Frank Sinatra song. In fact it wasn't even brought to fame by him. Sinatra Sang it 10 years after it was originally released, and it was probably made more famous by the great Nat King Cole.

However Frank did it "his way" and it was pretty good.

  • I favorite this and hear it everyday.. thanks

  • There are a few songs that give me goosebumps or may even bring a tear to my eye. This is one of those songs.

  • Poetry in M O T I O N, superb and timeless.

  • nat king cole was the one who did this version

  • thanks for posting it :)

  • This man is timeless!

  • Okay, I need the lights on a lowish dim, a few candles and a very large chilled dry martini. (with olive)

Thank you. And thanks for posting this version.

  • did seal ever do a cover of this as well? i think he would laos make an excellent version, i really do

  • he escuchado muchas versiones y todas son buenas en su estilo, todas me gustan... pero esta version hizo que se me pusieran los pelos de punta :O.... excelente interpretacion, grande tony!!!

  • This is the same words as the reply from BlazzingSaber.... Nevertheless Great Song!!!

  • He was and still one of the bests...Thanks a lots.

  • HE ALL THAT

  • He does the verse beutifully, and the rest even better, slow and 'Oh so mellow and from the heart. Pure Class.

  • for a quincenera it would be so uhdorable to do the waltz to thi song i love it

  • one of the greatest voices in music---AND STILL GOING STRONG!!!!!

    WE LOVE YOU TONY

  • love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great song - great singer - great slide show - thanks!

  • Sometimes I wonder why I was born so late. I missed so many great songs like this one. Then I remember I can listen to this much easier then people use to "back in the day" ^^

  • you're so right. And don't forget every time has it's challenges

  • sing it yourself. You may be surprised ;-)

  • Strange, I used to think like that too. The 50 s and 60s were years of hope, growth and prosperity for all, but also there was a cold war... each generation has its plagues...

  • ha ha i like your comment. i feel the same. i'm 30 but my cd collection is that of my dads.

  • There aren't enough stars for how good this one is.

  • A Great song and a great singer love Shirlsxx

  • Tony is great. One of my favs too

  • Beautiful....are you reading this Alicia? x

  • masterful!

  • excellent

  • What a stunning performance....soulful and from the heart....just perfect!

  • What a style. Pure class. One of the greatest singers of all time. I like this version better than the original. I always thought if they resang the old standards real slow, it would be a different song with more meaning. This one is proof of it. Great job Tony. You are da man.

  • it melts you...away...like water washing on the beach.

  • Beautiful

  • beautiful

  • Simply amazing

  • excellent

  • Old day ......

  • good old times...>to good to be true:)

  • Flawless - but for the voices (Anita Kerr singers would be unnecessary here). The photographs are very welcome, most of them unfamiliar to me. Thank you.

  • I wanna go back to the good ol day's, when people used to pay money for CD's in 16bit 44.1k and got fidelity and production, instead of the horrible over-compressed lossy 128kps photocopies people pay for on die-tunes that sound representational at best and mostly distorted.

  • A spectacular fantasm of skill and admiration. What a perfect accomplishment.

  • @seacaptain72 Did you know that Frank Sinatra once said that Tony Bennett was his favorite singer...he really admired his ability

  • Timeless, effortless and peerless....a beautiful rendition...

  • You can compare the two Tonny Bennett was sighned as a replacement for Frank Sinatra by Columbia so you can compare them.

  • he's comparing the way in which the song is sung, not the two individuals......

  • Yes true but still Tony bennett was sighned to replace Sinatra also they are both crooners although Tony Benett less so.

  • what i meant to say was that Stunatra is saying that the two versions of the song cant be compared because they are different takes on the song, Tony sings it as more of a ballad. I'm not denying that Frank and Tony can be compared, but in this case thats not what we're talking about its about the song in itself

  • Yes I understad now but still your meant to compare them,I think compare is the wrong word your meant to choose one over the other.

  • Tony was more of a crooner than Frank. It has even been so noted in this comparison discussion. That's what Tony does - Frank could, but his was more a swing style.

  • You can't really compare this version to Sinatra's. They are done differently. Frank's swings and this one is done in ballad mode. Both are great on their own accord.

  • Taste is personal, maybe nowhere more so than in music, but I just don't see how anyone can think Frank's version is as good - forget better!

  • Geez... did I just burst into tears??

  • Absolutely beautiful, After he sings the verse he virtually does take you to the moon.

  • saw the great man live in george square glasgow about five years ago and he was incredible.

no one can deliver the classics like tony.

  • o cara é fantastico

  • I'm glad I got too see Tony at least once, he is greatness, an iocn of jazz.......

  • I think Frank's version was better. Frank is a more popular, world renowed legendary, singer than Tony , but Tony was great aswell , although he was bitter he was not included in the Rat Pack.

  • he is the Best that Tony Bennett

God Bless Him and thank you for posting this beautiful song!

  • 1000 times better then the frank sinatra version!!!

  • Way Better...=)

  • I agree with u xD xD xD

  • this is a perfect song really god song music and of corse Tonny is a the best!!

  • i saw him in concert in italy...i wanted to hear this song so bad i was calling out he didnt hear me...then there was a lull in the crowd and screamed "tony, fly me to the moon"...he said "okay"...adn then played it...i will never forget that

  • WoW...

    He's A Good Guy As I Know It.. =)

    This Song Really Inspires Everyone..

  • I love 'cause my baby send to me....OH!

  • I take this version betther than Sinatra's version... Actually one of the most romantic songs i have ever heard in my life...i could rest in peace

  • i'm usually more of a rock fan , but this is such a beautifull song and , most important of all , a great voice .... i would say better than sinatra's. thanks for the video and especially for the song

  • No one will ever sing this song like Tony, this is imho the perfect version.

  • great artist, was disappointed with

    performance in redwood city

    rushed thru his performance

  • Yeah, dammit, at 82 years old, he oughta work a bit harder to please the audience.

Lighten up. He usually does 90 minute shows these days. I don't blame him.

  • (preceding was a response to 88keys, below)

  • This is music...the real music will never die because we all need it to live!

  • Love the man!

  • Love Sinatra and Bennett, both. But this version is very very good. Bennett brings out the emotions better.

  • THIS MAN SINGS THIS SONG LIKE NO OTHER.
