  • sparky is awesome lets hope cheeky my male budgie does as well iv had him 8 weeks now and by the 4th week he was saying cheeky boy ,,,hello ,,,what u doing so sky,s the limit i hope

  • can you get females to talk?

  • yes u can get a female to talk yet its a lot harder as males are the best talkers so i,m told,,i record on my mobile phone a few words that i repeat over and play this to him its how my cheeky started to talk yet make sure there are no disstractions in the room E,G dont have sound from the tele on at the same time best luck

  • Yes I lost the new one too, in November, he didn't even make it to a year old, but he never seemed to be able to fly and, as a result, got very overweight. He was lovely and tame, but never learnt to talk despite all my best efforts. Just goes to show that every budgie is different. I'm hoping to get a new baby budgie soon, I hope for much better luck. Thanks.

  • I can't tell you how sorry I am that sparkie has passed Mickey loved to listen to him as did My family . Thanks to these videos of sparkie we will still be able to enjoy your sweet little guy still. Did you say you lost the new budgie?

  • I love him...I just want to preen that puffy little head!!

  • Sadly, Sparkie died in February. But on the positive side I now have a new baby budgie, he is twelve weeks old now and I've had him for four weeks. I am doing my best to teach him to talk. If he does, I will post a video of him. THanks for your comment.

  • that's amazing!!! How long did it take to get him to talk?

  • poor bird.

  • Congratulations! Your budgie talks more clearly than some humans!

  • Thank you. Sadly my little bird died today. He had a tumour and I had to have him put down. I'm in total misery. But he was truly a wonderful bird and so clever.

  • Ooohhh ! I´m really sorry! Some people think that they are only animals, but this isn´t true. I´ve always loved my pets as a member of my family. But their lives are shorter than ours.

Think that you budgie has had a very good life.

  • i'm so sorry to hear your friend passed on. he was very adorable. i've been a budgie lover for nearly 20 years and i love the little guys. i hope you have many fond memories; from what i can tell from this video, i bet you do. RIP little feathered friend.

  • Thank you so much. We miss him like crazy.

  • i <3 that little noise he does at 0:54

  • Cute isn't it? I think he's saying "hello hello".

  • it sounds like he's really frustrated lol

  • i m really sad=( my budgie died on wednesday a week ago.

  • Haha,you're awesome!I still can't get my budgie to talk.D:

  • He's saying "I'm a pretty Budgie!"Thats soooooo adorble

  • Cute!Kisses to Sparkie!

  • I love Sparkie's accent! I think I know all the names of your family members, he speaks so clear.

  • fantastico

  • again adorable romantic and sweet. My budgie can't talk yet , but i think he is romantic as well. check out my budgie

  • I love his little voice so much!!!

  • Thank you. He is good isn't he? I'm planning on a new video as he has a whole lot of new words and phrases now. He's a very quick learner.

  • Sparkie is a funny little bird. Are you going to bring Sparkie with you to America? From Ben.

  • I wish we could, but we can't. You'll see him at Christmas though. He has some new phrases and words now, including "a cup of tea please!.

  • HE isa very good talkerQ!:)

  • This budgie is so clever and a "beauty budgie" too.

  • Do you tell your kids off more these days? He says their names a little more sternly now lol:D

  • Yes quite possibly. It was my son's ninth birthday yesterday and he has been high as a kite. I'm teaching Sparkie some new phrases at the moment, just to expand his repertoire a bit. He loves it.

  • He speaks very clearly which is brilliant. I particularly like the bit where he says "'ello 'ello, what's goin' on here then?" :D

  • Sparkie is such a clever budgie. I can't believe how clear his speech is. Great stuff.

  • OH MY GOD It's a giant talking bird - far larger than even the tv set. Sparkie is clearly heard declaring, repeatedly, "I'm a mutant budgie". I think we should run for the hills.

  • You're right. It does sound a bit like "Mutant", but actually it's his best attempt at "beautiful" which he can't seem to say. Luckily I also have giant fingers with which to tickle him.

  • What next for Sparkie? I'm hoping for one of those tiny bicycles with Sparkie pedalling it along soem kind of high-wire.

  • Hi IndolentAl. Yes, but according to pigeonviewer the bicycle needn't be that tiny. I hope you noticed that Sparkie was trying to say "Mmm that's a tasty burger" in response to your request for Tarantino dialogue. He can clearly be heard saying "a tasty burger I am" and then "tasty burger" right at the end. Sometimes he says "I'm a tasty budgie", but we'll get there in the end.

  • He's so cute!

  • Wow! This budgie is a star.
