@IsmonHimoPKOwnage hey i can tune a guitar i do it all the time so don't call me a lazy fat bastard, dickhead! oh and by the way i'm learning several van halen songs so suck it!
Thanks, the Dark fire but its not available. Do you guys have them? I have checked out a lot of guitars from gibson, its very confusing and as i dont live in the US i cant try one for myself. I found the Dusk tiger and it will only be available on the 30/6/10, but the person who will get the guitar for me is coming here on the 25th.
I also checked out the epi les pauls, and I really like the tribute model. Have you played it? could you post a review for it? please advice. Im on a deadline here
@blacksheep2711 the Standard Robot guitar just has an auto tuning function but no special tone control. Special Tone control didn't appear in the "Robots" until the Dark Fire Robot guitar. Check out gibson's website for more info on the Dark Fire
@blacksheep2711 We don't - but it's not for lack of trying. We'll let you know if anything changes. They were high 3Ks when they came out, now maybe low 3s - Dusk Tiger only at select Guitar Centers. You can get a 'standard' robot guitar for 1000-1500 or better on a deal.
They're really cool - auto tuners, etc. Just did an event with a band who got one from Gibson to try out on a tour. You can get them at major retailers, including Best Buy Musical Instruments :)
Music and technology aren't meant for each other. Well, sure recording technology at its most basic is needed, but we don't need all that auto-tune crap.. be it with vocals or with guitar tuners. I swear, I'm starting to hate living in this era of time, where music isn't music anymore, but just a bunch of effects or dependent upon technology. Tuning by ear teaches you to have a well-trained ear, but someday when tuning is unheard of without "robot" help, well then music is dead then.
@dayne9999999 We sure do - and really awesome ones at that. Amps too. Heck, we've got fully stocked music departments all around the country - check out BestBuy . com / migear for locations, or connect with employees from the department on Mi11 . com. And, as always, let me know if you have any questions.
@BestBuyMi11 Sure you guys carry guitars.. But your employees more than likely know nothing about them. Sorry, but I'd rather go to an actual music shop and pick up a properly set up guitar there for this money, from people that know what they're selling. Guitar's are not a retail store item, they're a specialty. They don't belong in Best Buy, or Guitar Center even. The people there don't have a clue what they're doing either. Basically, if you want a good guitar, go support a local music store.
@hvrock13 Thanks for your thoughts - we like hearing feedback and opinions, no matter if they're good, bad or ugly. We agree - there are great local music stores around the country. At the same time, most people we interact with at Best Buy Musical Instruments are pleasantly surprised at the quality of gear and expertise of our staff - I recommend giving it a chance. Most of all, though, we're just glad you're passionate and care about music.
@BestBuyMi11 Aesthetically, the quality may be good.Bbut through experience at another musical electronics reseller, Guitar Center, I've learned to look past how the instrument looks on the outside, quality-wise. It depends on how its taken care of. If Guitar Center, a store dedicated to instruments, doesn't have employees maintain the guitars, I doubt Best Buy's priority would be to. My Gibson looks nice, but was in horrible condition at GC. That's why I'm not so supportive. Just my thoughts.
@hvrock13 Appreciate the thoughts - and definitely support having instruments well taken care of. Probably varies a lot by location at any music store, but I do know that at many of the Best Buy locations they have high standards. Out of curiosity, what kind of Gibson you rocking? Acoustic, electric? Love hearing what people play.
@BestBuyMi11 Well all I can say is I hope they take care of the guitars, they're high quality instruments (not as high quality as they were back in the vintage era, though) and I'd hope they get proper maintenance. It's not cool to be a customer of an expensive instrument and have it be in unsatisfactory condition. And about my guitar(s), my Gibson is an SG standard, I actually use it in most of my videos on here. I also have a hand painted Strat, Takamine acoustic, and double neck Epiphone.
this makes me want to kick slash in the balls. nobody needs this guitar. lazy sons of bitches can tune their own damn guitars. What bothers me is that people are paying thousands of dollars for this shit.
In certain locations - yeah! Kinda crazy, but you should check one of the stores out - they're really cool. There's a link to locations at bestbuy . com / migear.
Yes they are fair prices. Most retailers sell Gibsons at the same price as each other. But if you get a chance to check out a Best Buy Mi right now they have some great deals on 2008 Gibsons.

gibson i think is running out of ideas and robot guitars just sound like bad news i could be wrong but its pretty sad when you have to say i need to charge up by guitar
@BestBuyMi11 hi. i dont know if he could but would he be able to do a quick tab of that. i'd really apreciate it a lot. also could you ask what tuning he was in. thank you
We'd love to make that happen for you - I'll have Tristan go to the kitchen and start cooking up the tab. We'll post it on the forums over at our site - check out the community and join if you like it. We'd be happy to help you with anything you need.

if you cant tune your own guitar, then you don't deserve to be playing it.
also, i have played hundred dollar guitars that sound just as good as this.
as far as sound goes, this guitar has a 100% lack of character.
