its somewhat like diabietes for horses like hes insulane resitent and it affects there tyroid and cushings horses have a sort of sunken back and it lookes like they have a pot belly but its just the cushings and they cant have alot of sugar

I'm sorry, cushings is a nasty disease. :( I care for 3 horses with cushings. We use a med called Pergolyde, it regulates the thyroid problems cushings causes and helps the horse feel well. It's obviously not a "cure" but it has defidently added more years to our geldings' lives. We also give a special "low starch" feed that has helped tons. But like you said, it's not cheap. Best of luck! And if the feed alone doesn't help, look into using Pergolyde :) (has to be prescribed by a vet, btw. lol.)

thankyou and yeah i 1 wish i hadnt out grown him and 2 wish he didnt have cushings becuase were starting him on specail feed and changing his diet and that should help but its so expensive its just so sad

this video made me cry. i went through this with my horse mystic. we didnt think he was going to make it because of his health so we thought moving barns would be best for him. We moved Barns and Split him and his best friend up. He was put alone where no other horse was beating him up or stealing his food and now he's still alive. I hope the same for desi. He's strong.
