  • Love the look on the mother's face at the end.

  • first time i ever came across the concept of enzymes. if only they all looked like pacman.

  • haha....Those munchy enzyme thingys bring back memories..

  • bongomanfromdalou, thanks for your insight in to similar US products/ads. Yes, I believe Liquid Drive was a Unilever product. They did still have the "Drive" product last I looked, but I'm not certain about "Liquid Drive".

  • Is Liquid Drive a Unilever product? I recall a laundry powder called Drive that Lever Brothers (earlier U. S. name for Unilever) made in the late 1960s that also contained enzymes...

And a Colgate brand called Burst did a similar stain test for their product in magazine ads in 1970 (lining a garbage pail with a clean dish towel then dumping assorted glop into the pail, which of course Burst got clean!)...

    The more things change...

  • i remember this.

do you have the old friend ad from 1993 with the crocodile hunter in it?

  • Not at this time, but I may have it. I've yet to process all the 1993 tapes. To answer your other question, in addition to this Liquid Drive ad, I have the Drive ad where the husband takes an off-road drive to do the washing.
