I didnt buy it because of all the reviews and watching gameplay videos. I made an educated decision on whether if I would enjoy the game or waste my money. So I didn't buy it. This game is looks like it's quake meets diablo, but bad.
Generally, if everyone else thought the game was passable, then I probably would, too. The one time I bought a game without caring about reviews, it was red steel. What a fucking horrible game.

I've had this game for some time, and honestly I can't bring myself to play it anymore. The graphics are pretty bad actually, the only good parts are your weapons. The game play SUCKS online it's practically single player with some random people running around that u MAY group up with but hardly ever get the chance to, seriously I really wouldn't reccomend getting this game. At all!
I agree that the game had a pretty terrible launch, but it has gotten significantly better. The graphics are quite good (if you can play in DirectX10 mode). Its not really MMO style online play, more similar to Guild Wars and/or Diablo 2, so keep that in mind when making your decision about this game. I think its a lot of fun though.
Guild2007- it is online, you do need an account and there is an option to pay to access more stuff.
and kdizzle31 - its an mmo set up like guild wars where the towns are where everyone can meet etc. but each "instance" is private. cuts the whole spawn camping and the like down.

it's like andy chambers being the lead designer for starcraft 2, he came from games workshop which developed the two games that warcraft and starcraft were both pretty much both spin-offs of.

I really love this game, it brings a new feeling to the mmo's of today. But what i'd like to know is when i play my fp camera is closer to the guns than that, how can i make the camera zoom out more in fp view?
Well WoW is probly one of the best games I ever played tbh, and it IS better then hellgate that's for sue altho hellgate is not so bad aswell comparing , just that wow takes way too much of time , which sucks badly. Not playing it for 2 months now , but I hunger for it right now, damn game.

HL has far much better graphics than WoW. HL is more violent and gothic gameplay than WoW. But at some areas, both games has pros and cons. For me, I like HL than WoW. I stopped playing WoW at level 45 because of the lack of interesting powers and poor graphic effects. The gameplay and stuff is good but cannot compete with HL.

in World of warcraft there is also same things all over and over, you pvp to get better items so you can get in arenas to get even better items or you raid to get better items to be able to raid worde places and get worse items. WoW keeps repeating itself just like this.
This game is awesome, make sure you play as at least 3 classes before you judge. There are 3 classes and 2 types of each (you choose at the beginning). Weapons mods are badass, there is a lack of spells but I'm sure there will be expansions for this game just like diablo 2.
One question though, I have a 3ghz processor and 1gb of ram, if I upgrade to 2gigs will it run completely smooth?
What do you mean by "completely smooth"? Unless you have a shitty video card or did something stupid as to turn your settings above the degree in which your computer can handle the game should run "smooth". Two Gs would definetly help, the game is best played on a dual core CPU and 2Gs of ram with a GeForce 8 series (7600+ if you don't really care for DX10.)
Well, I'm not exactly familiar with the Radeon family but weather you have the normal one, XT or Pro it runs about the same as an Nvidia 6600 GT, I'd suggest an upgrade, it's a pretty dated card and since it's boxing week, you might as well treat yourself to a better card (I got another 8800 GTS 640 for 150 cheaper.) You don't need a 8800 GTS but a 8800GT would be a great card below 300 dollars.
Here's the deal, don't expect a good story as the majority of the story is not act out but learned from mission providers. There's a shitty inventory that does completely nothing to help you organize it, meaning you're gonna have to find a way to sort through all your damn items and equipment. Enemies get highly repetive after the first 2 hours of the game and sword play is also repetive and rather cheesy.
If you can look past that then HG: L really offers some good hack n' slash action and a look at London in ruins with good not great but good graphics.

No, it won't make a difference, get a better video card and maybe some RAM unless you already have a pretty good video card then there's something wrong with your computer you could try reinstalling in a more clean hard drive but it will only increase speed by a little, not graphics.

Hey, the game is fun, entertaining and yeah, there's alot of replay value I don't quite agree on the "user friendly" part but it's fun to roam through London hacking n' slashing even though sword play still looks funny. However, there is no perfect game, negative things are just there fun as it is it does have some flaws that can be easily avoided especially from the makers of Diablo. Constructive critisim isn't a bad thing, it will only help improve the game on it's next sequel.
Hell gate London, is basically a new age Diablo 2, its far better in every concept. The main head team of designers are the ones that Blizzard, cause Blizzard didnt want to implement things to make the players happy. HGL constanly adding new things based on player request =D. And this game has sic graphics, dx10 extreme, almost looks life like, and little to no lag =D
Im' gonna go out on a limb here - but you haven't played it have you? Cause it's nothing like doom. The only similarity to Doom is Demons and good graphics. Otherwise - it's all Diablo. Heck, even the Demo had "Wart's Peg Leg" in it! LOL (like Wirt's Peg Leg in D2)

HL has far much better graphics than WoW. HL is more violent and gothic gameplay than WoW. But at some areas, both games has pros and cons. For me, I like HL than WoW. I stopped playing WoW at level 45 because of the lack of interesting powers and poor graphic effects. The gameplay and stuff is good but cannot compete with HL.

rofl, iu play both, i like both, but for multiplayer WoW is mcuh better and makes more fun, i bought HGL because some of my friends bought HGl and didn't want to pay for wow.
you could start a huge discusion but in the end you will know that HGl is just a funny collect and kill game like diablo, and wow offers a lot of possibilities, but also costs a lot

This game is 10 times better then wow. Its only fun if you play on wow free servers like ani-wow or wowscape. This game compared to wow is a 10 and wow is a 1.

I saw the review on gamespot earlier, and got a 7.0, but after ive played it, it has a lot of potential, and yes, i like a lot diablo 2, so to me, its awesome
shitty retail, though, but maybe in patches and fixes will shine as its meant to

bet that if you palyed and liked Diablo2 you will think this is rather fun. Why do ppl have to complain so much? i can honestly say that after playing Wow. in World of warcraft there is also same things all over and over, you pvp to get better items so you can get in arenas to get even better items or you raid to get better items to be able to raid worde places and get worse items. WoW keeps repeating itself just like this.

after playing this game for a month I must say doom3 co-op is a more fun co-op shooter.
and it has no chance of beating out W0W or diablo2 for that matter.
menues and weapons systems are too complex for no reason , game needs a ton of work .

This game is awesome, make sure you play as at least 3 classes before you judge. There are 3 classes and 2 types of each (you choose at the beginning). Weapons mods are badass, there is a lack of spells but I'm sure there will be expansions for this game just like diablo 2.
One question though, I have a 3ghz processor and 1gb of ram, if I upgrade to 2gigs will it run completely smooth?

What do you mean by "completely smooth"? Unless you have a shitty video card or did something stupid as to turn your settings above the degree in which your computer can handle the game should run "smooth". Two Gs would definetly help, the game is best played on a dual core CPU and 2Gs of ram with a GeForce 8 series (7600+ if you don't really care for DX10.)

Well, I'm not exactly familiar with the Radeon family but weather you have the normal one, XT or Pro it runs about the same as an Nvidia 6600 GT, I'd suggest an upgrade, it's a pretty dated card and since it's boxing week, you might as well treat yourself to a better card (I got another 8800 GTS 640 for 150 cheaper.) You don't need a 8800 GTS but a 8800GT would be a great card below 300 dollars.

Here's the deal, don't expect a good story as the majority of the story is not act out but learned from mission providers. There's a shitty inventory that does completely nothing to help you organize it, meaning you're gonna have to find a way to sort through all your damn items and equipment. Enemies get highly repetive after the first 2 hours of the game and sword play is also repetive and rather cheesy.

No, it won't make a difference, get a better video card and maybe some RAM unless you already have a pretty good video card then there's something wrong with your computer you could try reinstalling in a more clean hard drive but it will only increase speed by a little, not graphics.

Hey, the game is fun, entertaining and yeah, there's alot of replay value I don't quite agree on the "user friendly" part but it's fun to roam through London hacking n' slashing even though sword play still looks funny. However, there is no perfect game, negative things are just there fun as it is it does have some flaws that can be easily avoided especially from the makers of Diablo. Constructive critisim isn't a bad thing, it will only help improve the game on it's next sequel.

Hell gate London, is basically a new age Diablo 2, its far better in every concept. The main head team of designers are the ones that Blizzard, cause Blizzard didnt want to implement things to make the players happy. HGL constanly adding new things based on player request =D. And this game has sic graphics, dx10 extreme, almost looks life like, and little to no lag =D

Im' gonna go out on a limb here - but you haven't played it have you? Cause it's nothing like doom. The only similarity to Doom is Demons and good graphics. Otherwise - it's all Diablo. Heck, even the Demo had "Wart's Peg Leg" in it! LOL (like Wirt's Peg Leg in D2)

Yeah, it really isn't as great as shown here. And also if you have graphics of this momentum, you're bound to get plenty of lags and it'd take forever to load from one location to another.
