  • @fourcentsable

Haha man I actually noticed that a long time ago when I tried it with my Sunwayman T20C

It def works but unfortunitly it doesn't seem to work so well with 10htz strobe works really good with 20 though.

  • @NWguy83

Yea man the BC40 is bad ass I love mine. It's bright as hell and lights up a big area.

Although marsh is actually right it's def not a super thrower but it will light up a biig area at once. Do you have one?

  • OLIGHT M3X FOR LIFE!!!!!!!! :)

  • Best I've seen so far as with lights I have is slapping an asphyrical lens on the sst-50 with Two batteries robbed out of a laptop battery. laptops have 18650's soldered together. Thing punches out incredible and is the same size as these. Believe I tested one on a vid.haven't had much luck with buying rechargable batteries is why I went to the laptop batts.

  • Er.... Why does the Olight even have a pocket clip!?

  • @QwertyQwaf Some people like to use them to attach to a belt.

  • Bought a TK35 from Going Gear... Great service from them and FANTASTIC light. Love the smaller form factor... and actually I like that it is less focused. Gives a nice perimeter illumination when out camping. Unless you have very specific need for 200yard throw the TK35 is more than enough. I also liked the 2 button arrangement. Easy to use with gloves on. I often leave it in its holster. You can work the switches even when it is in the holster.

  • The BC40 isnt an XM-L thrower?

  • @NWguy83 It wasn't out at the time and no, I wouldn't consider it a thrower.

  • @goingprepared Should of included the TK41

  • @uonadtehrrocks It wasn't out at the time.

  • Marshall, are these the only three throwers? I own a TK35, but i find the Olight and Catapult too big to carry around, Is there anything about the same size as the TK35 but a very much better thrower? Thanks man! How's the baby?

  • @roadkill11091974 No, we have probably 50 throwers. Check out our recent comparison video series if you want to see most of them.

  • Thanks for all your video reviews - great reviews of great products.

I have a TK35 (and a lot of other LED lights), so far it's the best all round practical sized light I've seen, very pleased with it. Catapult looks like a great thrower, but too big for my needs and in most cases a bit more spill is more useful.

  • Weird, the top one looks like my tiablo ACE-G

  • Christ, I thought that was snow!

  • What do people use the strobe for?

  • @clerlic Disorienting other people

  • @goingprepared Oh yea, cool!

  • lol

  • @goingprepared you see 100+ white spots for 20 minutes if get strobed :)

  • @clerlic Been awhile hope you and others get this message. STROBE allows turbo brightness with about half the battery consumption AND if used OUTDOORS that somewhat distracting blinking is barely noticeable. The further away you shine the light the less noticeable. Something about your eye holding a residual light level causes the blink to murge into continuous. USE THE STROBE OUTDOORS FOR DISTANCE WITH HALF THE BATTERY DRAIN. Try it tonight, LOL

  • @clerlic epileptic fits!

  • I honestly think your reviews are well documented, informed, with great vids. Thank you for posting them for the benefit of all of us.

  • @billace90 No problem, thanks for watching.

  • Hello! can u please tell me if there are any overheating issue with the TK35 after long term use? And, can I use 123 batteries you can get at target made by Duracel or energizer. It is labeled 123, not sure if CR123 are the same. thanks

  • @Beaugelevi No long term issues that we have seen. Any high quality CR123 is fine.

  • @Beaugelevi all that counts id voltage. look around the packaging to see if they say it outputs 3.7V or 3.6V (anything in that range)

  • the lights or fine but man you are a very hairy fellow.. lol.. I just notice your arms ..

  • @EttaIngles well, he is a man, not a woman, so hope you undertand that

  • @deviatea Maybe he/she's from one of those hairless countries where they don't have to shave their faces and still not have a beard. :)

  • @goingprepared schtoodt~!

  • Your website is awesome

  • @iLoveMyGun89 Thanks! We have a new one in the works that will be even better.

  • not more than 200 i was thinking a thrower would be better, i was gonna go with the thrunite catapult but the body is too thick

  • @Proteus3000 If you like the performance of the Catapult but want something smaller, get the Olight M3X. It is at least as good of a thrower and is quite a bit lighter.

  • i need a high powered light for my bike mount which light would u recommend? the body needs to be 26mm or less for mounting. thanks

  • @Proteus3000 How much do you want to spend and do you prefer throw or flood? PM me since this video is not a good place to have a discussion.

  • Cool review, after watching this i actually got the TK 35 mainly because it's tiny yet still very powerfull. I wasn't a fan of the look of it from pictures but once i handled it i really liked it, it also comes with the holster. I like the Tk35 for it medium range spread, as you say it's not as focused but it throws a great medium range/close range beam yet still throws a decent distance beam as well. Great review.

  • I have a lot of different lights for different uses (mostly tactical for my work)

This is not a Tactical Light as we use in terms of tactical,

BUT this is the most awesome light I have ever bought, that is still easy to carry on my belt, without hindering my work.

This ranges in the top 3 of my favorite lights.

Thanks for the video. Realy like it. Keep up the good work

  • Hi Marshall,

Which one will be better thrower,

Olight M3X or EagleTac M3C4 (XML)

  • @kaerixxx I haven't tested the Eagletac yet, but I'm guessing they will be about the same.

  • Nice comparison! The Fenix TK41 might fall into the " XML thrower" category too, and from what I heard is that it throw really far.

  • Hey my birthday is coming up and i really want an EDC light. Im looking for something like the klarus NT10. I want it to run on a CR-123, high lumens atleast 200+ and compact. I also really love the idea are variable brightness or many different brightness levels

  • @TheJasper808 Try one of the lights with rotary rings, like the JETBeam RRT-0, Sunwayman V10R, or Nitecore IFE1.

  • You're the best! BTW, wall shots are very subjective, thats why I love your night real world control shots! Apples to Apples!

  • Thanks for the comparison. I own the 4Sevens Maelstrom and am looking for another thrower.

  • so what no more reviews for a bit ?

  • @bentlikeitsmaker Just waiting for new lights. I might do some other stuff in the interim.

  • i noticed you didn't call any of the flashlights 'guys' in this video

  • @donkeyhobbit I'm sure I'll do it again in the next one.

  • Oh yea I got a rayovac that would smoke all of these

    It's 450,000 lumens

Lol jk...by the way trust me I don't have a rayovac lol

  • tk35 gets my vote!

  • I have the Fenix TK35 and I am amazed, for $109, I am amazed. Came with a lanyard and a nylon holster! I was really happy, I took this light to my meeting and everyone was amazed with the look of it, I wish it had a better look but it's amazing which pushes me pass the design. It's a beast, my next door neighbor was out at night revving up the engine on his motorcycle, I shined the light over there and I did not hear it again. Good video!

  • thrunite catapult v2 xm l vs thrunite catapult v3 xm l

    selfbuilt flashlight reviews..v2 xm l 46000 lux. v3 xm l 40500 lux...How you see this?

  • @vikinona I haven't noticed any difference, but that much of a difference is hard to notice anyway.

  • My tk35 reaches about 500meter (light reflecting on a road sign)

  • Good video, shame it wasn't up before I made my choice. It would have saved me a lot of reading. Lol

You say the tk35 is dimmer. You mean actually dimmer or just less lux so the hotspot is dimmer?

  • @bjt3833 Not sure about the lumens, but the lux rating is definitely less than the other two.

  • the pollen looks like rain theres so much

  • Wow ... I posted about this comparison on CPF today ... It's like you reached into my mind!

Thanks man! Great vids as always!

  • @thedukeofTank I am psychic! :)

  • nice job , sweet

  • Does Fenix have memory?
