Are you saying you made the commercial? Cause it's a real game... I've seen it. Plus in the related videos it says "beautiful Katamari gameplay part 1" so this might be a real commercial...
I think the controls should either have the remote used like a steering wheel, or like a joystick (like the Super Mario Galaxy rolling ball levels). The classic controller could also be used for normal controls.
They could have you either move by holding the wii remote sideways and tilting, or actually using the wii remote and nunchuck like you're rolling the katamari yourself.
they could just make their own controller and bundle it with the game, or sell it on its own and give the option to use the classic controller or the gamecube controller (both have dual sticks)

Even better, Hold the Wii Remote like an NES controller, and Tilt it forward, back and use the buttons and control pad for other moves and quick turn with A. They made Katamari for The iPod Touch/Phone and it works.

i think they should give u a few ways to play if it was for wii...
1:wii-mote + nunchuk- like hands while ur rolling the katamari
2:wii-mote - steering wheel
3:wii controller - ...a controller (PS2 controls)
4: gamecube controller - (PS2 controls)
