I went to Eire once. It rained non-stop and was freezing cold. I didn't understand a word anyone said and everyone wore green. The only thing to drink was Guinness and everyone was drunk. The only food was Irish Stew and soda bread. No-one works and they constantly look to the past. I couldn't sleep because of the drunkards singing in the streets all night. I am never going back.
its true that if you test my blood, i have nigh a drop of green in it....but in my heart and soul i m as irish as you are, fine sir who posted this beautiful tribute to a proud, strong people. it brought tears to my eyes and made me swell with pride. my irish born husband will feel the same when i show this to him. thank you for this.
Father=Steacy(FitzEustace) his mother=Gillpin. My Mother=Allard(from the isle of Man. her mother=Thompson and later step dad=Gifford(orange). Do I qualify ? Despite that thanks very much for posting and hope to hear this again in 2012. ;)
