Usually, movies give a lot of background info so people who haven't seen the series before can follow the movie. But they don't do that in this case.

If you haven't heard of Dragon Ball, this movie will leave you very confused about what it's about.

If you have heard about it, that makes it even worse because there are very little similarities to the anime in this movie and the characters look nothing like they're suppossed to. They even left out some characters alltogether!

It could have been a good movie if it wasn't so predictable, it developed the characters more, and didn't use so much cliche dialogue.

I would have made it about Goku meeting Yamcha, Bulma, Oolong, Puar, Chichi, Ox King. After he meets Master Roshi he becomes his student, along with Krillin. They go to a tournament, fight Tien. After the tournament, Krillin is murdered by one of Piccolo's minons. And I would have added a little Tao subplot too, showing how Goku climbed the tower and met Kami.

It was better than I thought and I laughed at how cheesey it was. It wasn't the worst thing I have seen It really had moments of wow this is different! But I feel like it didn't rape me just got me felling akward. But if I wasn't looking at in the point of view as a fan I would say it was OK not entirely bad cause it gave me a twisted version of the story that I could understand. But as a fan it felt like they coulda followed the manga/anime better.

In Dragon ball Goku starts as a kid and grows up (I believe hes only an adult for the last 2 seasons or so , but I'm probably wrong.) then in Dragon ball Z he's an adult all the way , in Dragon ball GT (which was not made by the original creator) he was turned into a child but was in fact still an adult.
