Belias - Story Boss, you will fight it anyways at Tomb of Raithwall.

Mateus - Story Boss, you WILL fight it anyways at Stillshine of Miriam.

Adrammelech - Zertinan Caverns, in the middle of the map.

Zalera - Barheim Passage alternate route. You should do a miniquest to be able to access and fight this Esper.

Hashmal - Story Boss. Pharos at Ridorana, before Famfrit.

Cúchulainn - Garamsythe Waterway alternate route. Once again, another mini-quest.

Shenrazai - Story Boss. You will fight it, want or not, at The Great Crystal of Giruvegan.

Chaos - Completely out of the story. It is needed a miniquest to access him, but you can access its dungeon (Necrohol of Nabudis) just by Salikawood or Nabreus Deadlands.

Zeromus - Stillshrine of Miriam, "Alternate route", but it is kinda easy to get to fight it.

Exodus - Forgot the name of the place where he is, but you will need a mini-quest (or something like that).

Famfrit - As i said, you fight it right after Hashmal, following the storyline. Doctor Cid will be there to aid Famfrit. Or the reverse...

Ultima - At an alternate route of The Great Crystal of Giruvegan. It is kinda hard to get to her. You should use a guide...

Zodiark - Henne Mines ( i guess ) alternate route. You should have at least 10 espers ( not sure) and talk with a Geomancer at [ forgot the name, that desert village, you know? ].

in order of difficulty, to me, it was:

Belias <- Mateus <- Adrammelech <- Zalera <- Exodus <- Shenrazai <- Zeromus <- Hashmal <- Famfrit <- Cúchulainn <- Ultima <- Chaos <- Zodiark.

Is there even a practical use for espers ive tried using them in boss fights, but they're all barely half as strong as the person I used to summon them. Is there something I'm missing here or do they just suck overall?

i love how in final fantasy 7, a meteor was the end of the world for them, and no one could just merely summon one, haha. and in final fantasy 12 you can CAST the spell Meteor i believe. along with summoning Exodus. lol

Exodus' final move Is SO hard to get. time has to be critical, AND with exodus in immobilize. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GET A FOE TO EXODUS IN 5 SECONDS WITHOUT HIM MOVING???? Casting decoy on exodus and luring a foe to him by casting esuna on yourself to get out of immoblize, maybe.

For me, Ultima was hardest to defeat. She attempt to cause all party suffer greatly such as reduce Hp,Mp or even reverse+curaja, unlike Zodiark, Zodiark may directly kill all party by using Darkja. I would rather choose 1 hit K.o.

The Espers in FF12 are the Lucavi from FF Tactics: War of the Lions. Not just the retconning the summonings get, but the exact same beings. They just have their nams changed over the thousands of years between now and then; Ultima to Altma etc.
